Methods
For this research project I decided to ask two of my neighbours who are in high school. I enlisted them by going to their house one day after school. I visited them at their house and explained my research project to them and their parents. I gave them a leaflet and one for their parents and asked if they had any questions. Before I left I asked them to contact me via telephone or e-mail if they were interested in participating in the research project. Once they contacted me to say they were interested, I visited them again at their house. I thanked them for agreeing to participate in the research project and I gave them the informed consent forms, one for them and the other for their parents. We then discussed when the research would take place. We agreed to meet after school at my house. I asked if they had any questions and they did not so I left and reminded them to bring the signed informed consent forms on the day of the research. I considered Maria and Bob appropriate for my research because they are both in high school and live in Rexdale. The purpose of the diamond ranking exercise is to explore children’s views on issues that are most important to them (O’Kane,2008, p. 141). I used the diamond ranking method, to understand what factors are important to my participants in terms of their future career. To conduct this method children are given statements and then they must rank them by most important to least important (O’Kane,2008, p.141). For my research project some of the statements I gave my participants included: salary, interests, job availability, holidays and location. It was interesting to see how my participants ranked these statements., in particular what they felt was most important and least important. I think this method provided valuable information for my research

Telling a child they have to be number one in every subject, leads them to believe anything less is unsatisfactory. These children who are disciplined too harshly will become insecure adolescents and anxious adults (Extreme Parenting). Kwan Lee is the father of a student who attends OCT. The youngest child born in America has the highest income and level of education. These measures only measure one aspect of success but nonetheless these differences in income and levels of education do have real life implications. The table allows the reader to get a simple and cohesive look at the differences between each sibling. After reading this book I can clearly observe the factors that have led to such differences.

The participants were given thorough instructions that at any during the survey you can withdrawal your participation in the research, and that this is to benefit research to society. Participants were told that the surveys should take no longer than fifteen minutes and the personal information will remain confidential their results may be shared, but for research purposes only. The questionnaire will have a demographic sheet and a 50 item questionnaire divided into two sections. One part has a four point Likert scale (0= Almost Never, 1=Sometimes, 2= Often, 3 =Almost Always) and the other part is a selection of A or B. It was also reiterated that the participants had the right to withdraw from the research study at any time; there will be no consequences or penalty.
It is established that as a person goes higher in their academic career they have a greater opportunity in earning higher incomes, good employment opportunities as well as an improvement in their daily living conditions (WHO,2014, as cited Swain et al.,2014). In conclusion, obtaining informed consent is a vital part of respect for the patient and safeguarding of self-determination. The consent to participate in research or treatment should be informed, comprehensible, and free of coercion. There is not a clear black and white answer because no matter what is done to assure informed consent there is always a moment of doubt on the end of the patient as to whether what is going to take place is fully understood and their true wishes honored.
Interests in career-relevant activities are seen as the outgrowth of self-efficacy and outcome expectations (Bandura, 1997). Over the course of childhood and adolescence, people are exposed, directly and vicariously, to a variety of occupationally relevant activities in school, at home, and in their communities (Brown, Lent, & Hackett, 2000). They are also deferentially reinforced for continuing their engagement, and for developing their skills, in different activity domains. The types and variety of activities to which children and adolescents are exposed is partly a function of the context and culture in which they grow up (Lent, Hackett, Brown, 1999). Depending on cultural norms, for example, girls are typically exposed to and reinforced for engaging in different types of activities than are boys (Lent, Hackett, Brown, 1999).
Each year education becomes more and more important in the United States. With the demand of a formal education people each day choose a career path in order to get a good employment. (Formal education is classroom-based, provided by trained teachers.) The highest score was relationship listening face which requires a minimum use of adult power, and is focused on helping the child become aware of their actions and emotions by using unconditional positive regard. My choice I feel is greatly influenced by Previous and current teaching guidance and personal experiences with children. Everyday I am able to learn and understand that different aged children have needs that have to be met in order for them to correctly develop and promote positive behavior whether they are disabilities, emotional needs, or things as small as having a good night 's sleep impact behavior. From what I have seen some teachers lack in many areas when directing or even interacting with children, and with continuous information and practice I slowly obtain proper ways to deal with certain situations. From this practice I have instilled the value of understanding children 's inner and outer struggles and knowing they might be facing a bigger problem. I have witnessed and worked with children who have troubles either at home or out of school that has caused them to misbehave to the point where all teachers can do is ignore it.
