A vehicle capable of directing through an environment and operating without a human, sooner or later these driverless cars will be taking over our roads. Driverless cars are unreliable and unpredictable. To begin, driverless cars dehumanize and deprive humankind. People take pride in their ability to drive. For example, race car drivers, these people dedicate their time and many years to being perfect in a sport they love. By taking away cars that are driven manually, it completely ignores skills that people have earned. Another reason this would dehumanize people is when kids get their first car. Kids grow up admiring others that can drive and count down the days till they are 16. With driverless cars, no one will be mastering the skills it takes to have a permit or license. …show more content…

For the millions who rely on vehicles for their income, this could lead to a number of problems. Like the Walmart self check out, though it is sometimes faster you have to consider that it takes away a potential employee's job. Uber drivers, for example, drive people around to a specific destination and get paid an amount doing so. By taking away manual cars, it makes millions suffer. Lastly, safety is a big risk. It has many qualities to help non-responsible drivers such as helping people who text and drive or drink and drive. It still doesn't mean it's safer. What if the computer malfunctioned and had a problem on the highway? Not only is your life at risk, but so are other people. What if you had a driverless car and it lost the lines on the road while you were not paying attention? Even when you see the cruise on some of the newer vehicles its dangerous, another situation could occur where you actually hit someone, how do you explain that the car didn't see
