The Berlin Boxing Club The Berlin Boxing Club is a novel based in 1936 Nazi-era Germany. The book has many conflicts which are used to advance the plot. The conflicts go into detail which really helps the reader understand and relate to them. The conflicts of the main character Karl, are all either external or internal and can all be tied into the main themes of the book, which are trust and friendship. The main conflicts in the book all relate to boxing or the clear issue in the time period, Nazis vs. Jews. Some of the conflicts Karl faces includes the way he looks, his religion, and how to get to the United States. That being said they are all used to further the plot and make the book quite interesting. One internal conflict Karl faces
