When Do They Use ICT?

The first technology that I am going to cover is as photocopier. He
choose this category for personal/professional because it reflects the
thing that he has to use most professionally at work. This is because
he is always receiving and sending important documents and he has to
keep a separate copy in a folder so if they were to get lost it would
not matter and this way he has backup and proof. A photocopier is a
machine that can be used to make copies of important documents and
information also it can be used to make mass copies of documents that
needed to be handed out.
Though being exposed to technologies like computers from an early age may have given us the ability to do things more efficiently, technology has also made us less dependent on ourselves. Claudia Wallis, editor for Time, in her article makes known in The Multitasking Generation, “That level of multiprocessing and interpersonal connectivity is now so commonplace that it’s easy to forget how quickly it came about. Fifteen years ago, most home computers weren’t even linked to the Internet” (63). There are many things that students are able to do on their computer that their parents aren't even aware of or that the parents couldn’t do themselves. My parents always tell of how looking through the library’s card catalog and searching for the books they needed only to find out that they have been taken out. Computers have allowed us to do many things faster for example, write much faster than a typewriter or pen and paper and correct typing errors without starting over. The computers and technology we now have makes it easier to almost anything and with technology so easily at your fingertips it o...
I am not a knowledgeable user of technology; nor can I even claim to be an efficient one, but some technology I admit I can’t live without; such as: Microsoft word and, my best friend, email—though I use it for personal and educational correspondence; not nearly as fancy as Erin and her colleagues.
I use the keyboard to be able to type it, the mouse to be able to point on the screen and click or access my data by using the mouse arrow. USB to be able to save my data, edit it later and allow me to organise my files for example to create folders and sub-folders for my files.
Since the beginning of time the advancement of technology has been changing the requirements in order to be able to do certain jobs. The first example of which, is the big, strong caveman that hunted for food with a club, who was replaced by the small, sneaky one that hunted with a bow. This example is analogous to the assistant that hand writes documents for his boss, being replaced by one that can type documents much faster and more easily. Many people have thought about or have even debated if the evolution of technology in the workplace has negatively effected the working class. These thoughts and debates have spurred dozens of other controversial topics, but one specifically is whether the number of digital jobs created outweighs the number of jobs lost. Though the development of technology has exponentially increased productivity and efficiency, many people believe that it has taken away more jobs from the working class than we can afford to lose, because of data sharing, data processing, and robotic replacement of workers. However, for those same reasons I believe that there will be an equal or greater number of computer jobs to replace them.
Organizations depend on communication for very nearly every part of their operation. From directing touchy discussions between two people to immediately scattering discriminating data over a mass crowd and actually enlisting new clients, various built and rising channels permit organizations to help. Communication tools in modern technological era are the first need of business organizations. Being the part of business, these tools are leaving an immense effect on workplace environment. Business activities have become very convenient and easy with introduction of modern communication tools. Business communication has become child’s play with the inventions of electronic tools for exchanging ideas. These sorts of electronic specialized systems for descending correspondence or upward and sideways correspondence beat the impediments of routines for correspondence 50 years back. They give strategies for worldwide correspondence that are moment wi...
Studies show that telecommuting is gaining popularity with many U.S. employers as they realize the cost benefits offered by telecommuting programs.

The world is getting smaller, yet remains full of possibilities due in part to technology. Interestingly, the very first emails could only be sent to someone using two computers, literally side by side. Technology dates back to the first manipulations of materials to assist in human survival. There are many definitions for technology, John D. Carl describes technology stating,” it deals with the creation, use, and application of knowledge and its’ interrelation with life, society, and the environment” (Carl, J.D., 2011, p.301). For the purpose of this paper, any instrument, invention, or method influencing and allowing people to control or adapt to their environment, is technology. With the increased availability of technological tools (smart phones, text messaging, image scanning, email, and social media), communication is rapidly changing. Society has moved beyond the Industrial Age and into the Information Age, where the sharing of knowledge and ideas is the new driver of power and world economy. Technology possesses many merits, and as with any tool, it carries drawbacks. Misuse and overuse creates unsavory dependence. This dependence can have adverse affects on people, business, and education. Technology receives vast criticism for reducing face-to-face interactions. Although the information technology of today is widely held as impersonal, it promotes communication; technology reduces costs and leverages productivity by facilitating access to information and knowledge, and augmenting interaction amongst those who utilize technology.
People today use technology in their daily lives. It helps us to make our life easier and
Do you ever think about how much technology has changed the way we work, learn, play, and even think? Technology is a major beneficiary to society; especially in the classroom where we get the opportunity to learn and grow. In recent years, schools have begun implementing tablets and other devices in the classroom to better student’s education. The use of technology in the classroom provides more of a personalized learning experience and gives students a widespread availability to engage in learning. Technology is necessary in today’s modern globe, it is basically “the pen and paper of our time and the lens through which we experience much of our world” (Warlick, 2013). Technology is not just considered the “internet”, it is so much greater than that. Overall, it enhances the quality of education and engages students deeper than ever before. With all the significant gains, why would people argue that technology hinders students more than it helps? Critics may try to repute the use of technology in the classroom but I believe what really matters “is the way we use it, the context that we use it in, and the learners who we use it for” (Chong, 2012).
technologies such as: Augmented reality, real-time spatialized audio or face and eye tracking, digital Tablet or phone, CADD or GIS, streaming video, digital signage and telepresence, tele-presence and video conferencing, video images, computer movies and electro-vido graphic, web conferencing, video chats and online collaboration tools, Skype, etc.
up with the changes - they happen so fast. A good way to think about
In the year 1977 computers went on sale for the national public. Today in the year 2004 computers with connection to the internet are an essential item to have in the household. Accountants and typists are no longer the only ones buying computers. Age does not matter. Everyone needs a computer in the household. Computers help all kinds of people. Meeting different people’s needs, therefore computers are a useful tool for all age groups. Children, teenagers, adults, and senior citizens all can use the same computer, but they all use the computer for a different purpose.
The statement, which says, “depending on computer” has been a controversial issue since it was invented. Some people believe that computer has unpleasant effects on people’s lives, such as destroying social communication, affecting people’s health, and limiting their creativity. On other hand, some people think that computer has presented a lot of benefits on people’s lives. For instance, it has developed education, increased knowledge about the universe, and reduced time working. In my opinion, I believe strongly that a positive side has a right presenting because computer has provided a lot of benefits on our life such as enhancing many ways to develop education, contributing to discover and determine different planets, and making life easier.
