For this assignment I will explain what affect ICT has on my everyday
life, I will take aspects of the ICT that I use and I will explain why
and how they help me in my day-to-day routine. The ICT technologies
that I will include will be:
v Internet technologies
v Communication technologies
v Entertainment technologies
v Pc technologies
In these technologies I will be explaining the Internet, email, mobile
phone, word processing and mp3s.
These are things that affect daily life the most, they help me with
presenting homework, help me keep in contact with people, and help me
to be entertained where ever I go.
I also use other technologies in my everyday life at home and at
school these range from TV, DVD player, I also use excel and other
office software to enable me to complete school work.
ICT helps me with an lot of my everyday routine and jobs that I need
and have to do during the day, it has a big impact on my life at home
and at school as I will now go on to explain.
My Personal Use Of ICT At Home
------------------------------
Digital TV
==========
At home I have ntl digital, I use this for my personal use when I am
at home I use it for watching the TV channels that I enjoy watching,
which include trouble music channels and the basic channels 1,2,3,4,5.
First, digital will offer advanced teletext services and programme
guides. You choose the page and it appears, this is really good
because if there isn't any thing on the TV you can send an email or
play the games and even do the shopping.
Interactive

Digital offer interactive services and the Internet, bringing
facilities such as on-line banking and shopping into the home via the
TV screen. This means I can shop online and often just ring up for a
setting. Places like lobbies, hallways, cafeterias, break rooms are perfect. The phone comes with a
Not to mention technology can help people be up-to-date on current news and weather reports. If someone has an upcoming trip and needs to pack, but is uncertain what the weather will be like he or she can use the Internet to check. As Smith states in her article, using the Internet can make it easier to shop without the hassle of crowds or even if the store does not have a certain product (587). Let’s say there is a really interesting book that is difficult to find, well using the Internet would be an easier way to search for and purchase that book. Furthermore, technology can be very beneficial; however, if individuals don’t use it in moderation, then it can be very
Not only would the telescreen be a tv of today but also our own phones. Our phones have the ability to track our every move using the gps trackers that are implemented into their hardware in case of it getting stolen or lose. According to the article “That’s No Phone. That’s My Tracker,” its states, “thanks to the explosion of GPS technology...these devices are also taking note of what we buy...how much money we have in the bank, whom we text and email...and more” (Maas and Rajagopalan, 2012). This parallels Orwell’s “1984” technology with the telescreen. In “1984” it states, “the telescreen received and transmitted simultaneously. Any sound Winston made, above the level of a very low whisper, would be picked up by it...he could be seen as well as heard. There was of course no way of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment” (Orwell, page 3). The similarities between the telescreen and our on mobile devices are
Computers have changed our lives in many, many different ways. We do a lot of things from computers and our portable devices such as get music, watch videos, pay bills, order dinner, keep connected with friends on social media sites like Facebook or Twitter, take college classes online, and many other things that I could make a 5 page list of all the things it can help us do straight from home but that would bore you to death. Now that I have told you how computers have changed our lives and how they are used in daily life, let me tell you the importance of the people working in computers and IT. These people are very important because without them who would you go to for help with your computer, make sure your information is safe, get viruses off your computer and keep it safe for kids from being attacked? That’s right, you wouldn’t be able to do any of this.
technology since it’s part of our daily life but we can save our life by using the technology to a
I am not a knowledgeable user of technology; nor can I even claim to be an efficient one, but some technology I admit I can’t live without; such as: Microsoft word and, my best friend, email—though I use it for personal and educational correspondence; not nearly as fancy as Erin and her colleagues.
There are a few components that go along with technology. There are a lot of pros to technology, but what else is it good for? Many people think that technology is bad, but at this time of life, the good always outweighs the bad.
“Computers play a key role in almost every sphere of life” (Berry, Terrie). Without them, everything would be different. People all around the world own or used a computer. Whether you are a professional in technology or just an average person, computers are still very important in your everyday life. “No other technology has accessed the world like computers and the use of the Internet have” (Maddox, Amanda). Without computers, consumers would not be able to do half the things as quickly as we can. Advances in computer design have increased its use for different industries, especially in the medical field.
...many benefits for us, but it is not really needed all the time. Maybe in some situations for people technology is needed every day in their lives. But the fact is that people don’t really need all these new gadgets, they didn’t have all of this kind of stuff back in the day, and they still mad it through. Education is being helped by technology and sometimes just giving the student the answer. Later on though it can affect the student when a more difficult situation comes, they will not know what to do.
I now apply technology to many different aspects of my life including academics, personal, and recreational. I am now able to choose wisely between different types of technology and am able to distinguish between the different options that I have. I also have a much better understanding of the wide variety of programs that are accessible to me and I am able to use them with a basic understanding of how they work.
Days, months, and years go by and we do not notice them. Living in such a busy world, we are not always aware of the changes in our lives. Twenty years ago, if someone was told we would be able to buy groceries, pay our bills, buy stocks or even a car through the use of a computer, we might have laughed and blamed too much science fiction television for such wild accusations. However, as the next generation of children grows up, they may find it funny that people still send letters to each other through the post office. The development of the Internet has given us the ability to communicate and exchange information instantly across vast distances. The Internet has caused a huge impact in the communication field, and has made our way of living and working a lot easier, faster, and cheaper than before.
== The impact of ICT on society is great. As more and more people begin to work from home, or jobs become de-skilled, computer based, the social implications are going to be very serious. The most important issue is increased leisure time, and as more work is done in less time, the result should mean more leisure time. In some rare cases this does happen.
The influence of the electronic devices, multimedia and computers are the things that dealt with our daily life. Especially the internet that is now giving more importance to each and every one, by giving the newest outstanding media that surely will give the outmost future ahead of us. (Temmel)
The following is a list of all the things that my adult uses for Ict
From classroom activities to space flight and everything in between, computers are a vital part of daily life. Everything we do and every aspect of our life is affected by modern technology, like the computers. Computers let us dissect any sort of data. Computers make us reflect, hence we develop. Because of computers and the Internet, we can talk with individuals from diverse nations, and even see them via webcams.
