Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Test Analysis
Introduction
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Test, otherwise known as the MBTI test, is a questionnaire intended to measure and evaluates the psychological preferences of individuals in relation to their perception of the world, and generally their decision making ability. This was developed and got form typological theories that were deduced by Cal Gustav Jung. He categorized them into four psychological functions, which each unique individual uses to experience the world. They include feeling, sensation, intuition and thinking (Myers I. B., 1987).
With this he came up with two fundamental concepts in relation to the overall test. This was in tandem with the different cognitive functions of different members (Myers I. B., 1987). He concluded that there were the ‘rational’ or judging functions and the ‘irrational’ or perceiving functions. The rational functions included the thinking and feeling aspect to it, while the irrational entailed the sensation and intuition aspect (Myers I. B., 1995). This was further subdivided into four opposite pairs with a possibility of 16 other possible psychological types. They include intuition (N), extraversion (E), judgment (J), sensing (S), feeling (F), thinking (T), introversion (I) and perception (P) (Myers I. B., 1995).
Discussion
Having used myself as a case study and getting my results from the MBTI assessment, I got to deduce that my type or class was ENTJ. After analysis, the test deductions considered me to have a moderate preference of 3 aspects that were extraversion over introversion (44%), intuition over sensing (50%), and thinking over feeling (12%) and finally I slightly preferred judging over perceiving (22%).

...the entire work force. Competency, self evaluation and self awareness are encouraged with this assessment tool (Myers I. B., 1987).
Conclusion
From the above test I undertook, it is evident that I incline more to being an extrovert than an introvert. Even though I strongly disagree with the fact that my emotional intelligence is low, as per the results, I think the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test was unbiased and precise. This can be proven from my personality class, which is EFNJ.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test is an important psychological analysis tool that enables an individual to be self aware (Myers I. B., 1995). Personalities vary from one person to another, and this analysis tool is able to classify each and every one of these personalities (Myers I. B., 1987). Its application in the hospitality world is also evident and important, as proven through time.
