Conflict may arise between different groups for example between doctors, between doctors and staff, between staff and administration between all workers and administration and between a patient and the hospital team. In most cases, conflict arises from a disagreement between parties and might lead to a violent reaction, for example, a strike or a demonstration, some medical staff being fired for unethical and unlawful behaviors and suspension. The nursing practitioners are called upon to embrace caring as a focus of their nursing identity. Some other implications include spirituality which can be a vital factor in the caring between a nurse and a patient because caring is the unifying focus of the nursing profession. Nursing practitioners will start to examine nursing theories for their application to their professional practice. There should also be improved research and education in nursing. It has been estimated in a study by the American Management Association that managers spend between 20% to as much as 50% of their times dealing with conflict among their employees (American Sentinel, 2012).
