Throughout the existence of mankind, human beings have dreamt about having supernatural abilities. For years, comic books, television shows, and films have provoked our imaginations to fathom the impossible. Superman has awed us with the extraordinary capacity to fly. Similarly, the incredible Hulk has intimidated us with his super strength. Moreover, the flash has knocked our socks off with his super speed. However, none of these superpowers compare to the best super power of all: Telekinesis. As defined by the dictionary, telekinesis is a psychic ability allowing a person to influence a physical system without physical interaction. In order words, telekinesis is the ability to move things with your mind. The first and most basic reason …show more content…
for which telekinesis is the best superpower of all is the fact that it would allow you to pick up my drink from the kitchen without having to stand up. Second, you could move through walls by simply parting the molecules as you pass through. Also, no one would be able to attack you with firearms since you could stop bullets being fired at you mid air. You could even start a fire by vibrating molecules at high speeds. Furthermore, you could move molecules rapidly enough to travel through time via time dilation. All things considered, the main reason telekinesis has the upper hand over any other super power, is its characteristic of being able to emulate other powers.
If you want to fly like superman, you could telekinetically move yourself or even move the chair in which you are sitting down. Who needs super strength when you can move extremely heavy objects without lifting a finger? You can even make yourself invisible by vibrating your own molecules at speeds that the human eye cannot register. There is practically no limit to the things you could do with telekinesis. The only drawback about telekinesis is learning how to control it and enhance it. In order to perform most of the jaw opening things I mentioned above, you would have to have an extraordinarily powerful mind. If you did not learn how to use it properly, it could negatively impact your physical or mental state. If I had this superpower, I would be a superhero. I would fight villains and freeze their hearts to kill them. Other times, I would simple create a temporary black hole by compressing atoms into an infinitely dense area and then scattering them afterwards. This way, I would defeat my enemies. I would also resist the urge of making myself invisible and robbing a bank. Instead, I would create gold by rearranging the atomic structure of lead. I would work out my muscles without going to the gym. Furthermore, if someone were annoying me, I would morph their DNA to make them lose their mouth and stop
talking. In conclusion, telekinesis is the best super power of all. It is a power with infinite possibilities because it can provide you with almost any other super power there is. The only disadvantage of telekinesis is learning how to master it.

Touch is as essential to a healthy and happy life as eating right, getting proper sleep, and exercising. With the world growing more technological, the need for healthy human contact is more important than ever. Massage and body therapies are an age old healing refuge for us in this fast-paced, stressed-out world. The practice of massage therapy is rapidly growing in the United States. It has so much to offer and is becoming more widely accepted by doctors and the general public. Massage is touching another person by such movements as rubbing, kneading, pressing, rolling, slapping, and tapping. This type of therapy provides circulation of the blood and lymph, relaxation of muscles, relief from pain, restoration of metabolic balance, and many other benefits both physical and mental. There is much historical evidence to indicate that massage is one of the earliest remedies for pain relief and for the restoration of a healthy body. It is said to be the most natural and instinctive means of relieving pain and discomfort. Massage has proven to be an effective method for treating many conditions for thousands of years and it will continue to be used for thousands of years to come. Massage therapy is a great treatment for the body and soul.
Myths and religions often include divine or devilish beings with incredible powers. William Shakespeare incorporated witches with bizarre powers in his play, Macbeth. These witches possessed devilish powers to set the course of events in the plot and added to the flavor of the story. The witches' powers included omnientness, vision and apparition creation, and the ability to set the conditions for disaster, and the utilization of these abilities sets the movement of the play.
any superpowers and he wasn’t the smartest person on earth, but a true hero stands up for what is
The mind body problem is the controversial idea of the connection between the mind and the body. Physicalism is a solution to the mind body problem, providing the idea that there is nothing above the world and accepts the mind to be a physical essence, nothing above the body. Physicalism provides different approaches in search of the mind and its constituents. By approaching the mind as a physical entity, behaviorist, a type of physicalism, view the mind as a category containing emotions, sensations and feelings. Another approach within physicalism is functionalism, the idea that the mind is a series of input and output of mental states. These and other approaches to physicalism, display the mind as something not out of the physical world and an entity that is not separated from the body. Physicalist believe the mind could be explained by physical sciences in the future. Some physicalist portray the mind through all the sciences while others reduced the
solve suicide, and put an end to it I would be one of the most famous people in the world.
I can climb buildings with my many legs. I can read minds. I can stretch across the street. I can tunnel underground, so nobody sees me, just the trail I leave. I can jump very high.
Claude Messier a 24 year old student in Canadian, a professor at the school of psychology at the University of Ottawa, said after he finished a class on “Out of body experiences” one of his students admitted she could do that at will. “She came after the class and literally said ‘ I thought everybody could do that. She thought i...
This is probably not the preferred example but it's the best thing I can think of at the moment. In the television show The Flash, when Barry Allen gets the ability of super speed it is explained that the ability is due to being able to drastically change how fast his Central and Peripheral Nervous Systems operate. While controlling the speed of his nervous systems he can also drastically enhance his muscle operation system enabling him the travel at incredible speeds. In detail the rate of impulses going through the axon of his neurons are able to go a thousand times faster than the normal human being allowing him to view our world a thousand times faster than the normal human being. Now this has not been proven possible but in order to enhance
...d physical events can cause physical events but the mind and body never interact with each other. This theory fails just as the Epiphenomenalism theory does because parallelism does not answer the question about when a person’s deep feelings do lead them “mental decisions and intentions” (Morris p161).
As children we always had that desire to have some sort of extradinary power or ability and use it in whatever way we wish so. Shamefully, this fantasy could only be briefly lived in our dreams and imagination. Despite of this, that didn't stop our heroic journey to keep on trying to fly, read minds or move object with our minds. If, by any chance I could gain any superpower in an instant I wouldn't hesitate to ask for the superpower of power manipulation. To be brief, power manipulation is the ability to control any sort of energy, alter the structure or composition of myself and others, and absorb any sort of energy.
