Introduction
Physical inactivity or having a sedentary lifestyle is being identified as the fourth common risk factor leading to mortality causing an estimated 3.2 million deaths globally and due to technological advancements. The statement of the problem is sedentary lifestyle of teens nowadays would eventually lead them to having certain health and social problems because nowadays teens in this century are now more focused on games on their gadgets and socialize on the internet instead of going out. With that said this leads to teens having less exercise than usual thus having a sedentary lifestyle which also contributes to social isolation where one prefers to be alone and not interact with others that said alone will affect ones social life which lead to bigger cases such as health problems physically whereas it may lead to obesity and socially where as it may lead to shyness and insecurity that will limit one’s social life. “Fast foods are likely to contribute to over consumption. This research focuses on teens that are considered to have sedentary lifestyles in which the researchers will be asking questions about its effects also the researchers are looking on the effects to teens with sedentary lifestyles whereas the researchers will look into the possible health complication that is brought to an individual due to sedentary lifestyle. In which the main purpose of the research is to identify the factors of having a sedentary lifestyle and the consequences it will bear to those who have it.

Firstly, teenagers themselves must be responsible in keeping their body healthy by being physically active and avoiding too much screen time. With this, developing their social skills decreases their risks in having problems like being depressed or insecure because chemical changes that take place in the brain in response to the physical activities. Secondly, parents play a big role in contributing to their children’s health because it is said that children mimic their parents and if the parents are obese, the children are most likely to be obese. As a parent, they should be the example. They should start engaging in physical activities if they want to encourage their children to do the same thing.

Many people are spending their leisure times behind computers and tablets than they are being physically productive. Although, most of the new technologies have had many benefits to the advancements in the way in which we function efficiently in the world today; it also has contributed to the sedentary lifestyles for many adults and children. A world before technology, included children playing activities outside and adults engaging in these activities with their children. Technology should be limited to ensure that we are all getting an adequate amount of social interaction, that children are being properly educated and to help reduce the continuing growth of obesity in America.
The world is changing with the advancement of technology. People in our society, including teenagers, adults, and elders addicted to computers, television, cell phones, videogames, and cars. This addiction is making them sedentary. Going back in history, the human body is made for hunting, farming, and household work but the advancement of technology is making us sedentary. An unhealthy diet and physical inactivity can cause raised blood pressure, raised glucose levels, raised blood lipids, overweight and obesity in individuals, which puts them at a higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Unlike behavior risk factors, which can be controlled or modified, there are fixed risk factors like like race, gender, and age that can also contribute to the development of cardiovascular disease.
In the United States as in other developed nations, the level of obesity goes up every year. Obesity is a great issue as it affects individuals, society, and the government itself. Physical inactivity can lead to chronic diseases such as cancer, obesity, hypertension, depression, and an increased risk in premature death. In a study with middle-aged men and women, exercise reduced the risk of premature death by about 20-35%. Being active, in general, reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease by about 50%. Even minimum training intensity reduced the risk by 45% in heart disease patients. At first, health care professionals recommended rest and physical activity for patients with heart disease. With constant advances in medicine, professionals have learned that the benefits of physical activity outweigh the risks. In type two diabetes patients, physical activity improves the glucose homeostasis, meaning it balances insulin and glucagon in maintain a healthy blood glucose. Childhood obesity is a health problem that is becoming increasingly prevalent in society’s youth. For a number of years, children across the nation have become accustomed to occasionally participating in physical activities and regularly snacking on sugary treats. In result of these tendencies, approximately one third of American children are currently overweight or obese (Goodwin). These grim statistics effectively represent all the lack of adult interference, in regards to health, has done to the youth of America. The habits of over consuming foods and under participating in physical activities are all too common in the children of today. Children cannot solve this issue alone, though. These young people need to essentially be given the opportunities to make positive health decisions and learn about good, nutritional values.
People should also consider doing more activities in order to maintain a healthy status. According to the Department of Health and Human Services and Department of Agriculture, “physical activity levels have remained low over time”. This research proves that young adults are eating more and exercising less. Maybe changing eating habits and doing more exercise would help them to improve their health.

Teens used technology consuming excessive amounts of exercise time throughout the day that caused the physical health problem of obesity. Teens were physically active throughout the day before technology was fully exposed to teens.
