The “8 Terrible Things You Didn’t Know Binge- Watching Was Doing To You” article, was written by Caitlin Corsetti, an author for the website Gurl.com. In the article, she explains eight different negative side effects that are caused by binge watching. Corsetti starts off by pre-telling her obsession for bingeing on Netflix,for her favorite shows like “Orphan Black” and “Gilmore Girls”. She explained that she didn 't leave her binged the entire show “Orphan Black” in only two days and hardly left her bed. Given that bingeing is not only becoming more and more popular, our health is only going to deflate with time. I completely agree, that bingeing is not healthy. I myself, binge quite often; whether I want to admit it or not. I binged watched 10 season of the show Supernatural in just 3 weeks and a half. Needless to say, I lost a lot of sleep. I can completely agree that it did affect my health because I rarely ate, move around and I had a ton of migraines. I think if people just took an hour or two out of their day to exercise before or after bingeing on Netflix; they could avoid running into any health

The staggering amount that we waste our day watching TV for more hours than we should. There are days where I tell myself I’m going to leave my apartment to do something active, but most of the time that never happens because of how distracted I get from the TV. My little TV time ends up being more than expected in a matter of seconds without even realizing. Unproductiveness is a very important trait into becoming unhealthy, it can lead to something even more serious, like obesity. In Sach’s essay, he explains how there are at least two-thirds of the population in America whom are obese and I agree that TV can be one of its leading factors. The Nurses Healthy Study followed over 50,000 women for six years and notice that for every two hours of TV spent a day increased their chances of being obese by 23% (Obesity Prevention Source). As it is, we can watch TV for numerous amount of hours without even noticing that the time has passed by, so could you imagine how much percentage has increased now?

I started this projected believing that binge-watching a show has a negative impact on people social interactions. I believed that since binge watching requires a lot of one's time in order to be done, one would just start binge-watching something and then stop talking to their friends and family. I believed this because I saw myself as an example, whenever I binge watch a show I stop talking completely to those around me, I will occasionally snap or text one friend who has seen the show and talk about something big that might have happened in the show, but the conversation will not last long because I wanted to get back on watching the show. But since I was the only thing I had as an example I decided to make surveys and see other people's viewpoints on the topic in order to expand my opinion on the matter.
