Teenager Ban on Restaurants 1) Are teenagers really that annoying? What can be worse than a group of noisy high school students invading your peace and quiet during your precious and very limited lunch time? Mr. Joe, the manager of Munchy’s restaurant is placing a ban on teenagers throughout lunchtime. Teenagers can get quite annoying, especially to people who are in need of a more relaxed and quiet environment during meal times. It can also do harm to the restaurant by driving customers out, which may decrease profit. Businesses should have the right to control which customers are involved in their business. This affects the business directly, in terms of profits. In Source 2: Business Analysis 2 pie charts, and a multi-bar graph represent the monthly sales at Munchy’s restaurant. In the pie graph of “Munchy’s Patrons in July”, the population is made up of 80% adults, and 20% minors. In the pie graph of “Munchy’s Patrons in October”, the population at Munchy’s is made up of 73% minors and 27% adults. From the data shown in the pie graphs we can come to a conclusion that the more teenagers there are that visit Munchy’s, the more adults there are that leave, which suggests that teenagers are causing customers to leave. In the second graph, a multi-bar graph is given that shows the relationship in population in Munchy’s Monthly Sales between minors and adults. In July, there were about $3,000 sales from minors, and nearly $30,000 sales from adults, but the population of the minors gradually increased as the number of adults gradually decreased. In October, there were $5,000 sales for minors, while there was only an approximate of $6,000 for adults.
