Technology is a key element in the world today. It plays an important role in almost everything. Education is no exception to this; technology has been present in education for many years now. The purpose of this paper is to discuss why education is better with the addition of technology. More importantly, I am talking about this so that my audience will become more aware of how technology supports what is being done in education.
Technology in schools has made drastic improvements within the last five years. Computers have gone from being in every school, to being in every classroom. Access to computers specifically has become very easy for students to obtain. Technology isn’t restricted to computers; there are also projectors, DVD players, VCR’s, and video screens that are used today. These wide varieties of useful classroom tools have become very common in schools today. Heartland Community College supports the growth of technology in education very well. HCC has stepped up to the highest demands of technology by offering computers in every classroom. Also, the school provides each classroom with overhead projectors, which are run by touch screens placed near computer systems in every classroom. The overhead light show presents the pictures onto the pull-down screen in the front of every classroom, via DVD, VCR, or computer screen. These are many of the options available for students and teachers to use at HCC. This available technology helps advance the learning process and saves time.
Furthermore, the learning process is easily enhanced when technology is used. First, with Internet access in each classroom, it allows the teacher to access massive amounts of information in just a few seconds. This information can be given to the students in a clear, easy to read format as it is projected onto the screen. With such easy access to information, students are able to learn more in a smaller time span, while teachers are able to be more efficient in how they teach. This makes the education a person gets from their school more valuable for their money; and money is important as college costs continue to rise.
Most of these new technological advances aren’t cheap. Technology has brought the price of schools to higher levels, forcing the budget of schools and students to be changed. These plans are very well thought out and work in accordance to many of the programs the government has already set-up for schools.
The Crucible tells of a town’s obsession of accusing innocent people of withcraft. One character that stands out and makes a spiritual growth is Elizabeth Proctor. Elizabeth allows her frustrations of her depression to overcome her religious beliefs which separates herself from God and her marriage. She grows spiritually and begins to understand the things going on around her which was the strength she needed in the beginning.
The Crucible: A Play in Four Acts) fits into the stereotypes of the time period of the 16th century. In the time period Elizabeth Proctor lived, the Salem Witch trials were taking place. Elizabeth fits into this because she was an innocent women accused of witchcraft. About 200 people and even some animals were accused during this time. Elizabeth Proctor was of Puritan religion. Puritans did not agree with the common European viewpoint that women were more evil then men. Women were believed to have a bond with the devil because of the biblical belief in Eve's first sin, which makes them more susceptible to sin, according to (“Gender Roles in the Salem Witch Trials"). Elizabeth is very religious and she goes to church even though her husband does not, because the puritans were strict with obeying the Sabbath. She is also similar to this time period because of her husband’s affair. During some research, I found that women of this time period were excepted to tolerate it when their husband had an affair. If a women was caught having an affair, her husband would take her to court. If the wife were found guilty, she would be scented to death. The puritan women married for love. There was no arranged marriages. ("Puritan Women's Rights”). This is similar to Elizabeth because she loved her husband, John. John did some bad things but Elizabeth loved him and tried to understand why he chose
The Crucible is one of the most bizarre accounts of a historical event to date. The naïveté of the townspeople leads them down a road of madness and confusion, led by a shameless Puritan girl. Abigail Williams was a ruthless girl who showed no mercy upon accusing her victims of witchcraft. Knowing the entire town of Salem would believe her and the other girls, she would not hesitate at charging anyone she wished with the crime of the Devil’s work. However, a challenge arose to Abigail when she decided to accuse Elizabeth Proctor, and eventually her husband John, of witchcraft. The Proctor marriage was not just any simple marriage; it had its times of cold shoulders, heartfelt truth, and undying love.
Technology, one of the fastest growing industry in the world right now, it is also a characteristic that define how well and smart a country is. Simply because the ability and potential to accomplish great things that make technology really important, all this is proved through the fact that technology change the way people do things in every major, from nursing to even heavy manufacturing in factory. And there is no different in school, technology is used in student every day’s life, the most common device that every school have is computer. Computer is a powerful device that change the way student study completely, it make study more interesting, easy to understand and also allow students to do more things with their creativity.
It is 1693 and it has been 4 months after the death of John Proctor. It’s a cold morning with clouds of warmth forming from Elizabeth Proctors mouth, a pregnant woman soon expecting. She sits in a grey and rotten prison cell, chained to the wall, waiting for something she knows nothing of. Two women sit in the corners of the cell, one raving mad, the other follows. Tituba and Sarah Good yell jumbled words, praising the devil between every sentence. Elizabeth sits silent and reluctant. Sarah Good, stares at the ceiling as if the devil reaches for her. Elizabeth feels an aching pain in her stomach like she has many times before and she reaches the ground.
ou should never lie to others, consequently, that one lie can cause an even bigger lie with additional problems. In The Crucible Abigail is a compulsive liar who has a two-faced personality, she is also obsessed with the idea of being with an older man. This event takes place in Salem in the year of 1692. Abigail is a teenage girl who accuses people in Salem of performing witchcraft, her anger and desperation began to grow when John Proctor told her that he did not want to be with her. Abigail is responsible for all of the predicaments in Salem. Her lying has put citizens in grave danger, moreover their lives in jeopardy.
The Salem Witch trials of 1692 was an event that shaped the history of this country, as well as the lives of those whose wives and husbands were condemned to death. In order for such an event to occur, there must be a set of people who catalyze the event, and others who speak out against it. In “The Crucible”, certain characters help contribute to the rising hysteria of witchcraft, and others contribute to the disapproval of so many wrongful convictions. Throughout the endurance of Arthur Miller 's The Crucible, vengeance and the love for John play a big role in the actions and fates of various characters. Since Abigail Williams is motivated by John Proctor, her decision to lie and accused others of witchcraft resulted in the deaths of many people in Salem by the end of the play.
It is helpful to connect the learning to a student’s prior experience. Teachers also need to consider the role of technology in their classroom.
Teachers are able to design, develop, and use materials they gather from online resources. It’s often time consuming for teachers but good for students (Álvarez). “I’m certainly not one who thinks technology is a silver bullet,” says Adam Frankel, executive director of Digital Promise. “If it is used well, it allows teachers and schools to personalize education. That is the dream of education, to help students be taught in the way they need to be taught” (Reiss).
Technology forms the most vital element of life in the world today. Every aspect of our lives is dominated by technology and its importance in our lives is indispensable. One of the outstanding facts about technology use in schools is its controversial nature. There is no common agreement by stakeholders in technology and educations sectors about the use of technology in schools. There are two different factions, one supporting use of technology as a positive aspect, while the other faction disagrees, citing the detrimental effects of technology in students. However, the use of technology in classrooms catering for children continues to increase, as education develops more interesting ways of enhan...
Technology properly used in the classroom has many advantages to a student’s learning. Technology can help students become more involved in their own learning process, which is not seen in the traditional classroom. It allows them to master basic skills at their own rate rather than being left behind. Teachers and students alike can connect to real life situations by using technology in the classroom; this can also help to prepare students for real world situations. Technology can be used to motivate students as well as to offer more challenging opportunities. It can also be used as a visualization tool to keep students interested in the subject that is being taught. When technology is used effectively, students have the opportunity to develop skills that they may not get without the use of technology (Cleaver, 2011). Assessing and monitoring students is easier on the teacher because of the ability to use technology in the classroom. When technology is used correctly it offers limitless resources to a classroom atmosphere.
But why are schools so eager to improve their use technology? And why is there so much importance placed on educating today's students with modern technology? The answer is simple: because technology has such a positive impact on education, and in so

Modern technology has made it so much easier to obtain educational information for classroom or homework assignments. It offers educational games that stimulate the brain and help children who have difficulties focusing on traditional teaching and learning procedures. College students are even taking advantage of online courses that many colleges are offering as an alternative to physically attending classes. Advances in technology and computers will continue to play an important role in education for many generations to come.
Technology has many different effects on education, one of them being enhancing the students learning. Technology may enhance the students learning and may assist most students in achieving their academic standards. When technology and appropriate teaching methods are combined, technology may increase the academic achievement.
