Bukola, I also agree with the concept of teamwork being essential to nursing practice. I have the pleasure of working along-side of some amazing nurses. Without teamwork, my job as an emergency room nurse would be almost impossible. Teamwork is critical to providing patients with safe and effective health care. This includes, working with other nurses and interdisciplinary teams. An example of this in my department includes, a code trauma. During this event nurses, along with physicians, respiratory therapist, medical imaging techs and also paramedics work alongside each other performing multiple task simultaneously to save the life of an individual.
