In a work environment, different individuals work together for the care of a patient. The inter disciplinary team must show teamwork. Studies show that when a group of professionals work as a team, better patient quality of care and satisfaction can be achieved. (Grumbach. K., & Bodenheimer, T. 2004). Unfortunately, there are still some barriers that exists when it comes to teamwork and inter professional care and relationships. One of the challenges would be, working together with people of different personalities and title. It is imperative that an understanding of inter professional collaboration and teamwork be understood. In order, to create interdependencies between the different aspects of the healthcare team. A team should have clinical and administrative systems, proper division of labor, proper training and most important of all is communication.

For years, doctors always have had the authority in every decision in the health care setting. The nurses and other part of the health care team are just parts and the opinion doesn’t matter that much. Teamwork is an important part of a healthcare team. In order to achieve it, the clinical team in this situation should be able to work with each other. Teamwork also shows how well the performance of each part of the organizational team. (Welp, A., & Manser, T. 2016). If the team are disorganized, it may cause a strain on their overall well- being which can cause a poor quality of care. On the other hand, enhancing the team work of this dysfunctional group may help save the clinic, and will be able to provide better care.
