Teachers observation means assessment of learning or gathering evidence of teachers practice. As a observer you would need to observe and reflect throughout the lesson. There are two types of observations, formal and informal. The observations are not mentioned. You would come in whenever, start observing the teacher and the learning environment, and take notes, you may have a checklist. You must also see whether the students are engaged in their learning, the interaction between teacher and students and if students receive the support they need. Teacher will also have to show there scheme of work and lesson plan.

peer observation provides both the teacher and you with the opportunity to develop the quality of your teaching practice. It also provides an opportunity to create good practice amongst colleagues by sharing thoughts on each others teaching practice and supporting each other’s development of teaching skills. Every teacher have their own way of teaching and this is good practice.
CHILD AND YOUNG PEOPLE
When observing child, you record everything that the child or young person is doing. You will have a complete recording observation sheet which you would need to write the date, name of the child, the age of the child. Write everything the child does, say, and every action. It's has to be detailed. For example child has fine motor skills, listening skills, child responded etc. You may also observe children's progress during practical activities which enables you to have a clear view about the children understanding and what they can do. You need to describe exactly what is happening, without making judgements or adding your own details.
Observations of young people allows you to identify where the young person is developing. It can provide you with information by knowing and understanding the young person current interests …show more content…

You would be able to plan activities to support young person progression and further development. You can reflect on each child / young person current interests and level of capability when setting targets.

Learning environment is a safe environment where teachers can teach. It is a environment where learners feel engaged in learning and receives the support and resources throughout the learners learning experiences. When observing you need to consider how the learners are engaged , are the learners motivated?, what is the behaviour management in the classroom like? Observe closely and reflect on things you have spotted.
