The company TATA motors, which deals in the manufacture of automobiles has major contributions from all branches of engineering from mechanical to chemical to aerospace.

But, it cannot be denied that the branch of mechanical engineering is backbone of the working of the company.

The company which employs knowledge of kinematics and dynamics of machinery,design for manufacture and assembly,internal combustion engines,principles of product design,structural health and integrity monitoring is more closely related to mechanical engineering than any other branch.
