Brazil defeated Germany in Fifa world cup 2002 to win the world cup. Things have changed in 2014, and Brazil recorded the worst ever loss by any team in world cup semifinals against the same German team. This performance by the five time world champion team indicates the downfall of Brazilian football. The severity of the loss was so high that it made them forget their previous losses in the world cups, even the final in which the Brazil was the host and they lost to their South American rival Uruguay. The social and political condition has not been good in the past few months in Brazil. This could also be the reason for affecting team’s morale.
