What is being a hero all about? Heroes give us all hope, that even in the worst possible predicament they always come in and fix any crime or danger. The shirts, logos, and superpowers mean more than that. These superhero characteristics don't necessarily depend on their superpower. There are superheroes out there with no powers, but their own capabilities that make them who they are and who we love.
Out of all the superheroes, I'm limited to naming five of them. I have to start with my favorite of all time, Batman. Batman has an alter ego as Bruce Wayne, his parents were mugged and killed in front of him when he was younger. He was traumatized; after that, he grew up being trained by a league of assassins. Batman is known for wearing a dark black suit with a bat logo on it, as well as a long black cape. He hides his real identity under a mask shaped like a bat. Unlike the other superheroes, Batman doesn't have a certain superpower. He owns Wayne enterprises; a company where they do military contracts and create weapons. Instead of superpowers, he has all the weapons you could ever imagine.
As well as Batman, this superhero does not have superpowers. Oliver Queen, better known as the Green Arrow was trapped on an island for five years. He was on a boat with his father and his girlfriends' sister Sara going on a business trip.

Tony Stark was demoing a weapon in Afghanistan but was struck by a roadside bomb and attacked with his own weapons. The bomb blew up at point blank range and nearly killed him, bits of sharpnel remained in his body. An Afghani citizen put an electromagnet in him to pull the shrapnel away from his heart, as it would kill him if it reached it. Trying to escape, Tony Stark built the Arc Reactor to power the magnet, then built the Iron Man suit prototype, which was basically a suit powered by the Arc Reactor with flame throwers, weapons, and gave him the ability to
Not all superheroes wear capes. As an example, in the novel, ‘The Hobbit’, Bilbo Baggins goes from Hobbit to Hero as the book progresses. Throughout the novel, Bilbo fends off a variety of monsters, from goblins to a killer dragon! At first, he wouldn’t even leave his little hobbit hole, but he seeked out a mass murderer’s weak point! That is amazing! How did he manage to do that? Well, he developed the characteristics of a good ol’ hero along the way, those being strong and brave, clever and intelligent, and the ability to be selfless in all of the right situations.
Batman and Superman are superheroes whose qualities are exaggerated in a way that is reminiscent of the gods and heroes in The Odyssey. In Fact, the superheroes from comic books emerge from the epic tradition. Epics, as you know, celebrate the great deeds of one or more legendary heroes. This epic hero is generally involved with a quest to overcome hardship, and he (and it usually is a "he") succeeds. The hero performs superhuman exploits in battle, often saving or founding a nation or the human race itself. Sound familiar? And even in terms of the superhero's body, with his bulging muscles and larger‐than‐life qualities, such figures evoke the images of Baroque masculinity. What Becomes important in these retellings, then, is how the hero makes the journey, how he faces his obstacles, and what he learns in the process.
Heroes, the unordinary beings with extravagant abilities, from powers and competence to skills and talents. Heroes are people who are idealized by society for their courage and individuality. Iconic and well recognized heroes like Hercules, Superman, Spiderman and Achilles are some of the few heroes known around. All heroes have a similarity to each other, for example Beowulf and Batman. While both can be considered great heroes, they differ significantly, yet are similar in other ways.
In my opinion, a hero is someone whose principal purpose, whether it be in one situation or over the span of their entire life, is to help others while simultaneously making the world a better place. When the word hero is brought up, the most prevailing image that comes to mind is superheroes like Batman and Superman. But I don’t think you have to have superpowers or even be well known in order to be a hero. There are people all over the world whose intention is to do selfless deeds and go out of their way for others without expectation of obtaining anything in return. These are the type of people I like to consider everyday heroes. They go through life just trying to be the best they can and trying to help as many people as they can. Whether
Captain Hammer and Doctor Horrible from Doctor Horrible’s Sing Along Blog are intriguing cases because of their inherent qualities. The character of Captain Hammer is quite easily identifiable as the superhero of the story. He is shown saving people by stopping Doctor Horrible from stealing a van that contained a special power core (Whedon). Through physical characteristics such as his costume and his strong physique, Captain Hammer matches the physical criteria of the role superhero. Also, through his reputation and influence, Captain Hammer repurposes...
In the fictional world of heroes and villains, only one may reign supreme. The anti-hero Deadpool, the Merc with a Mouth has gone toe-to-toe with the likes of the X-Men, The Avengers, and The Fantastic Four; not only did he survive he completely obliterated them (CITE). He received a healing factor similar to Wolverines from the Weapon X Program, and is skilled in hand-to-hand combat (Cite). Marvel Comics has created some of the most popular and powerful heroes and villains of all time, and in doing so have made them timeless and immortal. However, there is a moment when every hero and villain must fall, and that is where Deadpool comes in.
Unlike Batman, who was nicknamed the "Dark Knight" due to foreboding and his dark character, Spider-man, AKA Peter Parker, is a genuine kid with strong morals and ethics who cares about virtually every citizen of New York city. While both Peter Parker and Bruce Wayne had a rough upbringing and many drastic family tragedies, only Peter was able to keep an optimistic and stable character. Peter Parker has also had to over come challenges that have strongly challenged and questioned his heroism, but have made him a better hero and strengthened his admirable character. Through his many rough experiences, Peter Parker has become a well-balanced hero, who has come to believe and demonstrate that “with great power comes great responsibility”.
There are many Superheroes with lots of different powers, they all have their own unique ways to fight or interact with others. But there are only a few attributes that make a Superhero great, that make them better than the rest. All great superheroes have the ability to fly, they have super strength and they are invincible.
Being a hero means that one can show courage when it comes to facing a problem. It is a person who helps others in many ways, such as a person in danger. In the modern era, the creation of superheroes have become popular when it comes to producing films. Viewers can choose their favorite heroes due to the idea that there a many of them. However, most fans argue which superheroes are better. Two of the most popular superheroes are DC’s Batman and Marvel’s Iron Man. Although Batman and Iron Man are loved by many viewers because of how they help people in danger, they still demonstrate imperfections which can cause viewers to dislike them. Superhero is defined as, “a benevolent fictional character with superhuman powers, such as Superman”. With the exception of fictional characters, there is no one in our society with superhuman powers. In everyday life when humans think of a superhero, the immediate thought that comes to mind are these made up abilities. Despite this cliche image seen in movies or read in comics, superheroes in this world usually do not have those superhuman abilities. Versions of a superhero in reality is an individual who strives to be exceptional and lead others into being the best person possible.
This differs in Spider-Man as he solely fights crime as a one-man army and while he does occasionally team up with other superheroes, he is a stand-alone hero. Although this may limit his
Tony Stark was captured by the terrorist organization, the Ten Rings, and was commissioned by them to build weapons. With his life on the line, Tony Stark created a weaponized suit of armor that he used to escape his captors and return home, becoming the superhero known as Iron Man (Iron Man (2008). Paramount, 2008. DVD). Stark used his armored suit to battle against terrorists and
Superheroes: Civil Servants or Public Menace? Sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them, the X-Men are unique superheroes. They have not obtained their powers by being “bitten by a radioactive spider or zapped with gamma rays” (Strauss), but rather by a biological mutation: the X-Gene. The X-Men have superhuman powers, traits, and abilities and as a result, humans regard the X-Men with uneasiness, fear, and even hate. Despite this bigotry from the humans, the X-Men come together as a team to protect not only the humans, but themselves from the humans.
"In superheroes, the most important thing is to get a new power. And you run out of powers. A guy can fly, a guy is strong — what's left? I figured, if a guy can stick to walls like an insect. So I run down a list of names: Insect Man didn't have it, Mosquito Man wasn't dramatic... finally, I hit on Spider-Man.
