When it comes to creating a successful childcare program there are many aspects that need to be incorporated into daily functions. It also comes with avoiding certain practices that can be detrimental to the success of a center. In order to have success within a childcare center, administrators, teachers, and other staff members need to all be on the same page with certain practices in order for all parts of the center to function properly. One aspect that all centers should have in place in order to be successful, is being prepared and organized. This means that a center should have disaster plans, health records, proper health procedures in place, and have experienced qualified staff that can provide the best care. If a disaster occurs it is important to be prepared and have all the necessary supplies and information readily on hand. That can allow the center to have emergency contact information available to the administrators and let the parents or guardians know if something happened to their child. By having these procedures in place, a childcare center can be prepared and demonstrate to parents that they can conduct themselves when a situation demands it. In order to make a program high quality it takes a little more than just meeting state requirements. A program that stands out is a program that takes the time to teach the students. It is more than just a day care; the children learn and grow from being in the childcare center. The program must contain teachers that know how to properly teach children.
