Much of the efforts of the work force today are focused around the use of teams and groups to achieve the goals necessary to fulfil your job requirements. The theory is that people tend to work at their best is when they are around people with common interest. One of the most common methods to judge these interest is through the Myers Briggs and the Strong Interest Inventory. One reason why I took this inventory was not because that it was required, but it actually gave confirmation to what I was already contemplating on. Choosing a major is a difficult task, and the career that you do choose may turn out to be the wrong decision. This Is very accurate with my interest because being an investigative person has interest in science, medicine, and research. Also, I enjoy working with others, and helping other people. This inventory was able to reassure that my career choices were not wrongs, and they were able to give me options within my field, that I may have not though of before. Science, Medical Science, Culinary, Athletic Medicine, and religion and spirituality were my top five career interest. All of the courses regarding sciences, and medicine fall within the code that I was given, but culinary and religion are the outliers in my career choices. I enjoy culinary not as a profession, but as a hobby. Religion is interesting to me and I love to learn new things about different religions. We tend to take things in intuitively. Our secondary mode is internal, where we deal with things according to how we feel about them, or how they fit in with our personal value system. I am an extroverted person, I am a warm, enthusiastic person. I love to live in a world of possibilities, and I tend to become very passionate and excited about things. My enthusiasm lends me to be able to inspire and motivate others. I am able to talk my way out of anything. I enjoy life, seeing it as a special gift, and strive to make the most out of it. ENFPs have an unusually broad range of skills and talents. They are good at most things which interest them. My clearest preference was that I am an individual who is very extroverted. I always considered myself to be introverted, because I felt I was very quite, and did my own things. I believe the Myers Brigg was able to help me realize that I am actually a very out going
Each of these reflects some aspect of my personality or my daily activities. For instance, I am currently learning how to play the piano and other forms of music and enjoy getting feedback; this could be considered a form of Performing Arts, as well as my participation in church and school-based chorus throughout the years. Additionally I combine my love of Visual Arts and Programming to create small video games or mess with websites for fun. As far as Mechanics & Construction go, fixing broken devices around my house before they were thrown away was something that I used to do, but haven’t for awhile. Having used myself as a case study and getting my results from the MBTI assessment, I got to deduce that my type or class was ENTJ. After analysis, the test deductions considered me to have a moderate preference of 3 aspects that were extraversion over introversion (44%), intuition over sensing (50%), and thinking over feeling (12%) and finally I slightly preferred judging over perceiving (22%).
Specifically, the ESFP personality is people orientated, enthusiastic, and outgoing. While lacking in the ability to stay on track and keep focused on the task at hand. All ESFPs prefer to work closely with people and will excel even further when they are surrounded by people they enjoy being around. The career opportunities are almost endless, as long as there is someone there they can communicate with, the ESFP is considerably happy. They connect easily with others and their down-to-earth attitude allows them to have the ability to reflect and adapt to their surroundings. When reading through the strong interest inventory result I found it interesting, as well as, eye opening in some aspects. My theme code is that of SER, which stands for social, enterprising, and realistic. I feel as though all three of these themes describe me and how I see myself, because while looking at the values, interests, skills, and activities that are with associated with each theme I relate mainly with that of SER.
I found the results of my self-assessments to be a very insightful and accurate description of myself. The results of the learning styles test and the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II are very valuable for examining my personality traits and learning style and making improvements as needed.
Extroverted people are more socially oriented. ESFP personalities are also sensory based; remembering events as snapshots with a tendency to be pragmatic. (Martin, 1997) They are often in-tune with their feelings which can lead them to be empathetic and tactful communicators, but struggle with addressing conflict. According to The Myers and Briggs Foundation, their perceiving aspect can cause them to work in “bursts of energy”, bringing a playful aspect to work, but can cause them to be indecisive when it is most needed.
My chosen major is Psychology and Pre-Law. Psychology is defined as the study of the mind and behavior and how someone or a group of people think. I chose Psychology because during my middle school and high school years, I always studied how people would act and was always able to identify certain events or actions that trigger someone 's emotions or behavior to change. Most of the people I used to study was the people I had class with because most of them I saw every day and known them throughout my middle and high school years. Over the years, I learn the things that triggered changes in their attitude and behavior. I was able to identify when one of them was angry. When one was upset and didn 't want to bet bother and when one wanted to fight someone. After awhile, I realized that if I can be able to understand my classmates, then I know I can understand and help people as my career profession.

My general occupational theme is conventional, realistic and investigative, which make me feel somewhat separated from my follow psychology students. The majority of my classmates possess a theme description as social and investigative. I believe if I were ten years younger like they are I would have been grouped into the same theme as they were. Since I am older and have been working for a while I have a better sense on who I am and where I want to be. However I am still unsure which direction I should really head into for an occupation. The Strong results have helped me interrupt the general fields in which I feel the most comfortable and excel the best in.
One of the most important decisions an undergraduate will make will be deciding what they will major in. This academic and life choice will ultimately decide how an individual will view their college experience and help guide them with their future career choices. Choosing the wrong major can be too stressful and overwhelming for a student with more course work than expected. On the other side of the spectrum, the wrong choice in a major will not challenge the individual to bring out their full potential. “Ideally, a major will leave a student academically successful, as well as fulfill academic, personal, and vocational goals “(“The Pennsylvania State University Division of Undergraduate Studies,” n.d.). ENFP also known as the campaigner is my personality type (16 personalities). I never realized what my personality type was until after finally doing this paper. It was a very eye opening assignment and made me realize and understand my personality type so much more. It’s exciting to know how I work. It amazes me at how I represent the ENFP exactly how it’s described, it’s crazy. I feel like I can better myself now, knowing that that’s just normal or my personality type. Before I would question myself on why I could never focus on just one task at a time, I would always want to explore more before I was finished. My personality ENTJ that's it, but what is that exactly? According to the Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test online I am a slight extravert, intuitive, thinking and judging person. Some might even say I am arrogant and straightforward which and I tend to be “on-duty” all the time which are also traits that were affirmed. I feel sure they did not score my answers correctly as I consider myself more an introvert. Before I began taking the online test I thought I was an open-minded and optimistic person with tendencies to be more creative versus organized with a high preference for introversion, but, after careful reading I was an introvert but have now pushed myself to become a slight extrovert with the test results leaving me feeling empowered that the traits I actually strive for are becoming my beliefs.

According to the description in the exercise, ENFP's are warm, enthusiastic and live their outer life more with intuition and their inner more with feeling. Using Myers & Briggs Type Indicator, I will delve further into details regarding the characteristics of each four orderly cognitive functions that unfolds my behavior as an ENFP individual.
