1.1 Describe Systems and Procedures for Storing and Retrieving Information
Collect documents to be filed, sort in to alphabetical, numerical or chronological order, find the relevant file and place the document inside after it’s divider, and return the file to its original place. Confidential files should be kept in a lockable cabinet and old documents should be shredded after the length of time outlined by the organisation.
Electronic filing is similar but on the computer. It is important to name files so that they are easily recognisable by everyone who may need to access it. If the information is confidential it should be encrypted with a password to prevent unauthorised access.

Confidential information should have password protection. When sending confidential information provide the password separately from the file. The Data Protection Act also states that information should not be held on to longer than is compulsory, this is why organisations have a set length of time that they retain data.
For the confidential files they are kept within a locked cabinet underneath the director’s desk and when we need a file we have to provide one of the directors with a reason and use of the file. If they do not feel the file should be seen by anyone then they will the issue on and continue on from where we left of. The files are kept within groups and them groups are then filed chronologically.
For the electronical files, they are kept within one computer that can only be accessed by one person only and if you need the information you have to ask said person for the file that you are requiring and from there they will email you over the copy of the file but when we email over the file we make sure that all data is secure and
The case study by Elizabeth Layman (2011) is a very comprehensive compilation of the implementation of electronic health records, in relation to the Health Information Services Departments. Through this study Layman documents the conditions to be implemented to achieve satisfactory application of the change-over from the conventional pen and ledger system to computer documentation of patient’s records maintained by health networks.
Medical facilities have to follow certain guidelines. They have to insure patient’s privacy in all areas. The medical facility has to protect the patient medical records and all healthcare information for the patient. If paper files are still in use at the medical facility, it should be stored, where it can be locked at close of business. Also, medical files should not be kept where individuals, other than those that need to use them, have access to them. Electronic medical records are being pushed for all facilities, large or small. The thought is less chance of someone having access that should not. There are firewalls, password use, encryption and other means of protecting electronic health records.
The documents must be saved on your P: drive until they are uploaded to the E-filing application. These document should not be saved on the Shared Drive or GCDOCs.
Support action by central and native government, businesses and civil society take advantage of these opportunities (The best recycling programs in US & around the world, 2012)
The process of memorization starts at birth with the development of cells and extends throughout the lifetime through the effects of life experiences and stimulants. Like the rest of the body, the brain is made up of cells. These brain cells are different, more specialized cells. (Sprenger 1). Two major brain cells are the neurons- the nerve cells- and the glial cells which work as the ‘glue’ of the neurons. At birth, the brain contains approximately 100 billion neurons. Although that number remains constant over time, these cells can lose their function if not exercised properly in a process called “neutral pruning”. Learning is defined as “two neurons communicating with each other”. A neuron has learned when it has made a connection with another neuron (Sprenger 2).
Confidentiality – this is particularly important in the work environment. Mark anything up and private and confidential as a header. Attach a word document if necessary instead of writing the confidential information into the body of the email and password protect the document. Do not put the password in the body of the email. The safest way of sharing a password is by over the telephone as opposed to sending a separate email. Never disclose inappropriate personal information.
Health information management involves the practice of maintaining and taking care of health records in hospitals, health insurance companies and other health institutions, by the use of electronic means (McWay 176). Storage of medical information is carried out by health information management and HIT professionals using information systems that suit the needs of these institutions. This paper answers four major questions concerning health information systems.
The aim of this report is to theoretical cover data preservation, examination of digital evidence, tools and techniques for data capture, preservation and examination with a list of recommendations.
In order to understand the functional relationship between learning and memory we have to first define what both learning and memory are. Learning can be described as “the acquisition of knowledge or skills through experience, practice, or study, or by being taught” (Merriam-Webster, 2014). “Memory is the means by which we draw on our past experiences in order to use this information in the present” (Sternberg, 1999). Base on this definitions one can conclude memory is essential part of our lives. Without any memory of the past, we would not be able to operate in the present or reminisce about the future. We would not be able to remember what we did a few days ago, what we have accomplished today, or what we intend to do tomorrow. Without memory our ability to learn would not exist. Learning and Memory are linked to our cognitive abilities as well as that of animals. An example that can be used to show the relationship between learning and memory is the study of how a rat behaves in a maze. As we all know rats have been used in experimental mazes since at least the early 20th century. Hundreds if not thousands of studies have looked at how rats run different types of mazes, from T-maze, to radial arm mazes, and to water mazes. These maze studies help scientist study spatial learning and memory in rats. Maze studies helped us uncover general principles about learning that can be applied to several species, including mankind. In today’s modern societies, mazes tend to be used to determine whether different treatments affect learning and memory in rats. According to Kolata al, 2005 case study the tasks that comprise the learning battery were specifically chosen so that each one placed specific sensory, motor, motivational, and info...
IEP stands for Individualized Education Program. An IEP is a written document required for each child who is eligible to receive special education services. It is provided to a student who has been determined first to have a disability, and second, to need special education services because of that disability. An IEP is very important and should never be overlooked by anyone. The purpose of an IEP is to make sure that only students whose educational performance is affected by a disability receive special services. An individual program plan is designed to make sure that students get the kind of educational experience that they deserve; an experience that results in success. The end goals for students who are on an IEP are to be involved in
The information is usually arrange and manage by computer system compare to the human power which written down in black and white. The software and system which use for the management of the information in accounting were UBS system, SQL system and other relevant system that can manage the accounting information files. The system using especially the SQL system is the most suitable system to maintain and reorder the accounting department information. The information that gather mixed or not in order is easily recognize by the system and determine the detail and type it's use to be.
It goes beyond the photographs to engage and motivate children as participants in their own identification of learning, future learning and desired experiences. It encompasses contesting our own dispositions, being mindful of acknowledging the strength and potential of children as learners, through deep reflective skills and also equivalently being motivated and enthusiastic about our role as educators. In respect to celebrating the rights of individual learners this intersects with the ethos of the unique child, whereby we are striving towards Increased self-esteem, more socially skilled children, increased ability to work with others, increased acceptance of others, new understanding, better decisions, greater creativity and more confidence in sharing ideas.
As Miss White needed help to keep track of monthly payments made by the 10 pupils in her group and to keep a monthly record of individual payments, a running total for each pupil, the overall total collected each month and the average amount per pupil collected each month. The overall cost of the trip is £500 per pupil between the months of October to March excluding December.
At this stage there has to be an agreement between an employee and an employer at what level of confidentiality the employee would be operating, what level of information would be available for disposal and any physical restrictions (no go areas) applied. Such agreements and policies are usually based on “need to know, need to go bases” and often are supported by technical/electronic measures such as ID (RFID) cards, fingerprint scanners, passwords, encrypted communication devices and other. The good practice for the company is to gradually introduce a new employee to the sensitive information and to monitor its disposal. Once the new employee has gained company’s trust, he/she could be introduced to more sensitive
Being a new college student can be tough. Balancing new work levels, trying to manage your time & also getting enough sleep are the main difficulties for a new college student coming straight from high school in my opinion. These problems can be easily solved by going to class and using the resources that are provided to you. This may not seem difficult but in reality it 's right in front of your face.
