Interpretation The graph 1shows the extraction of the components on the steep slope. The first 5 components are the part of steep slop. The components on the shallow slope contribute little to the solution. The components nine to nineteen are the part of shallow slop. The big drop occurs between the sixth and ninth components, so first 5 components are used for further analysis. The scree plot confirms the choice of six components. Negative and positive correlation carry the same weight. This chart gives you an idea how the items correlate with factors. [8.3] In what ways do you think your results would have been different if you had sampled at a different height on the rock?
How exactly do social trends start and how do they become such huge phenomena? The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell explains how ideas, trends, and behaviors reach a “tipping point” (Gladwell, 2000). According to Gladwell, a tipping point is the peak of a particular phenomenon. The Tipping Point describes exactly how health epidemics, fashion trends, television shows, products, etc. become popular and last for elongated periods of time. In this summary, I will attempt to reiterate what Gladwell means in reference to “how little things make big differences.”
James is a man nearing forty. His build is average; he has light skin and dark hair. He is sensible and caring enough for his partners. He’s dismayed that Nolan has been killed. They were close friends in the office.
The movie I chose to do my report over was, Walk the Line. This film is about the life of the late, musical legend Johnny Cash. In the beginning of Walk the Line, they introduce the traumatic event that shapes the rest of Johnny’s life. John and his brother Jack planned to go fishing one day, before they could go his brother had to finish splitting wood. Johnny was getting impatient and Jack told him to go ahead and would catch up with him as soon as he was finished. While Johnny was fishing, Jack had a fatal accident with the wood splitter. Johnny’s father blamed him for the death of Jack, because he was not there to help him. He had a very rough childhood, because of the broken relationship he and his father have.
In Petrarch’s work The Ascent to Mount Ventoux, Petrarch wrote about his attempt to climb Mount Ventoux. Although he eventually succeeded, he was unhappy about the numerous attempts he had to make in order to reach that. The climbing of the mountain symbolically represents his struggle to live up to those spiritual ideals. The work also displays the dual nature of the Renaissance: modern and medieval. On one hand, some people living in the Renaissance were concerned with their religious ideals and spiritual matters. For example, Ficino’s Neo-Platonism had some elements of Christianity. On the other hand, many people living during the Renaissance were also interested in classical culture and “liberal arts.” Leonardo Bruni idolized the Roman
Eysenck used mathematical steps in his research. In factor analysis, the experimenter begins making specific observations of a large number of people. The information is then quantified by calculating the correlation coefficient between the variables of the experiment. The number will depend on the amount of people who participate in the study. The mathematical deductive process continues until the figures are broken down into smaller, more basic dimensions called traits existing within the factors that represent a large group of closely related variables (Feist & Feist, 2009).
- Trait like model represents one factor, meaning that each relationship will display the same attachment
My scores were very surprising to me, I scored very high on the Conscientiousness and Emotional Stability and my lowest score was in the Openness to Experience, which I thought was very accurate as I do find myself to be conventional. According to the “Big Five model” it is a measure of one’s reliability; also having a high score such as I did it says that I am responsible, organized and dependable (Robbins & Judge, p. 108).
five factor theory is a fairly recent proposal and has its basis in earlier work,
The Mountaintop is a unique one act play based on Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.’s last night before he was assassinated. The entire play takes place in a single setting, room 306 of the Lorraine Motel. The production brings an interesting perspective into play by introducing a female supporting act that at first seemed to represent one of King’s infamous mistresses, but turned out to be an angel who was sent to take King up to heaven. The play covers many aspects of King’s life and attempts to show him on a more personal level. The main theme of the play seemed to be based around humanizing King, showing elements of his life many people didn’t know about. Overall the play had good composition, many historical references, and quality acting.
In the Tipping Point, How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference, Malcolm Gladwell, analyzes the start of trends and the outcomes of those trends. Gladwell claims that most trends, styles, and phenomena are born and spread according to routes of transmission and conveyance that are unusually similar.
By analysing the results it could be seen that there was a relationship between the concentration of sodium thiosulfate and the time take for the cross to be no longer visible on the white tile through the solution. From graph 1 it could be seen that the concentration of sodium thiosulfate and the time taken for the reaction to be completed are inversely proportional, as when the concentration of sodium thiosulfate increases, the time taken decreases and the graph levels out as it approached the x-axis. Graph 2 supports this by showing that the concentration of sodium thiosulfate and the rate of the reaction share a linear relationship, meaning that the concentration is directly proportional to the inverse of the time taken.

When two or more variables move in sympathy with the other, then they are said to be correlated. If both variables move in the same direction, then they are said to be positively correlated. If the variables move in opposite direction, then they are said to be negatively correlated. If they move haphazardly, then there is no correlation between them. Correlation analysis deals with the following:
