These subjects increased my knowledge to a great deal and this advanced my existing passion about computer science and Information Technology. I carried out a project work on “W3 Status Analyser” at the end of my 4rd year 1st Semister. I personally feel that knowledge is not just limited to acquiring, but regular updating is requisite to stay ahead always .Hence I regularly go through the monthly journals and magazines, especially IEEE journals , PC Magazine , PC World, Smart Computing and Wired . Also being part of computer and IT forums and taking an active interest in the forum discussions augments my knowledge and exhibits me to many real world scenarios. These things help in grasping the technical complexities of the subject and help in building a strong technical base. I firmly feel that my passion and curiosity for knowledge and innovation in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology cannot be satiated by undergraduate study alone but would require a specialization, which prompted me to choose U.S.A in general and university XYZ in particular to pursue graduate studies . I am really very eager to see myself be a part of this esteemed institution in realizing my
After a deep depression, I felt totally devastated and without any confidence in myself. However, thanks to the support of my parents, I decided to try again. Very reluctantly, I began studies in computer science at the Universidad de Nariño. Step by step, I found interest in the subjects and courses and, especially, in its application in the real world. However, were two key aspects during my career those changed my conception: my liking for the Open Source Software (OSS) and my admission to a research group.
Extensive research on the U.S. Universities, pertaining to masters in computer sciences, over the period for more than two years, inevitably resulted in electing the University of Massachusetts, Amherst for its uniqueness in research and quality in the curriculum of computer science. I believe that research, in fact in any department, would make one more knowledgeable about the unfathomable concepts and clear one’s enigmas. After procuring almost three years of experience as a software professional, I am now turning into a student again. On April 06,

If you do a job that is monotonous / clerical and does not require a lot of logic and reasoning, you lend yourself to boredom and chances are that you would totally arrest your mind’s capacity to think. A simple fact of life, but a ‘life shaping’ matters of truth, it turned out to be. When I used to hear my dad say this, little did I realize that this childhood advice would instill in me a spirit to apply my logic and reasoning to even small things I come across.
I am very thankful for providing me this opportunity and it is with sincere sense of gratification that I do pen my brief statement of purpose. When it came to selecting an area of Engineering for my undergraduate studies, the choice was clear: computer science. In my undergraduate studies, I benefited from the breadth of Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science (a pioneer college affiliated to Kakatiya University in India). The curriculum at KITS exposed me to the entire gamut of computer science courses thus laying a strong foundation for the fundamentals. During the first two years, I was fascinated by programming subjects such as C, OOPC and Data Structures. During my third year I also learned Java and Theory of Computation. During the fourth year, I was fascinated by subjects such as computer networks, network security and encryption algorithms like the International Data Encryption Algorithm. I also became involved with various extra-curricular activities such as organizing blood bank donations and playing Lawn-Tennis. This resulted in a slight dip in my grades, but I soon acquired the art of balancing the curricular with the extra-curricular, and graduated with 71.5% in distinction with first class. My main areas of interest are Computer Networks, Software Programming and Database Management Systems.
