Some of the most prevalent advertisements on the internet refer to targeting fat loss in a specific area. “get abs here” or “get rid of those thighs” ads are seen on almost every public website when, in reality, spot-fat-reduction is not actually possible. “The exercises commonly associated with spot reduction do not actually burn many calories – and if you are not burning enough calories, you are not going to lose much fat from anywhere in your body.” Losing weight is actually about combining regular cardio workouts with eating healthier to burn more calories than you actually take in, rather than working a specific area.
In a study led by the University of Connecticut, 104 tennis players were put into a 12 week training program in which

Rumor has it that the yolk is adding unnecessary fat to your diet and is therefore unhealthy for you, but what many don’t realize is that the yolk actually has more vitamins than the white and therefore is healthier for you. Little is it known that “The yolk may contain all the fat, but it also contains most of the vitamins and nutrients” and is actually more beneficial for you than any other part of the egg (Authority). In fact, the yolk has more nutrients like vitamin D, calcium, and vitamin A than the egg white and are an overall healthier option. Kris Gunnars of Authority Nutrition proves that egg yolks have very necessary nutrition with, “Just think about it… one egg contains all the nutrients and building blocks required to grow an entire baby chicken.” (Authority). Furthermore, studies show that eating whole eggs for breakfast can help lose weight because adding an egg to a meal can help the eater feel more full faster, which helps them refrain from overeating and packing on those unwanted
Coaching is an integral part of helping achieve one’s maximum abilities. Dr. Gawande (2013) explains that, “Coaches are not teachers, but they teach. They’re not your boss—in professional tennis, golf, and skating, the athlete hires and fires the coach—but they can be bossy” (p. 3). It is difficult to say what is the exact function of a coach, however, they help bring forth another point of view different from our own and they also help bring about the right mindset in order to subdue a weakness.
There are a wide range of fitness components that contribute to successful tennis performance. More than one is usually important. Health component • Muscular Strength Tennis is a very effective an impact game, and each time you strike or run for the tennis ball your body absorbs serious impact. To stand this force you need both upper and lower body strength.
The physical demands of tournament tennis players can be and usually are very grueling. The body is using both anaerobic and aerobic metabolism along with anaerobic and aerobic muscle fiber types. Tennis is a high intensity sport requiring hundreds of short bursts of activity. Most points only last around 10 seconds(anaerobic) but there is only 25 seconds of rest in between points and 90 seconds of rest in between games which requires the player to have endurance(aerobic). Tennis matches can be long and drawn out, lasting hours or they can be fast, intense and only last an hour. This means having adequate nutrition along with an efficient metabolism is key to being able to compete at the highest level.

Some people do not know all that much about exercise and dieting. They do not know healthy ways to eat, and they don’t realize that one can’t get the “Perfect Body” in just a few days. These people are possibly victims of Fitness Myths. “In 2002, the Federal Trade Commission released a report that shared a review of 300 weight-loss ads promoting 218 different products. They found the rampant use of false or misleading claims” (FTC, 2003) Misleading fitness products can be particularly damaging. If one is mislead into purchasing a product and the product doesn’t work as it was advertised, not only have you wasted your money, but also the product may have physically hurt your body. FTC chairman Timothy Muris talks about the advertising and promotion tactics of the fitness industry “ads that make claims and promises that are clearly implausible and patently false run in all forms of media, with the notable exception of network TV” (FTC, 2003). Misleading advertisements are common among all forms of media. Although TV commercials may be more powerful in their persuasion, an obvious reason for this is that TV advertisements show more misleading commercials. A technique frequently used in commercials to make them seem credible is that “many deceptive ads run in highly respected publications and they are perceived to be credible”(FTC, 2003). Therefore if the TV program you are watching, while the commercial is being played, seems credible, consumers tend to believe that the products advertised during the episode are also trustworthy.
Body composition is divided into two separate types of mass fat-free mass which is comprised of all of the body’s non-fat tissues and body fat. Fat-free mass includes bone, water, muscle, and tissues (Scott, 2013). Fats, bones, and muscle are the main components of the body which is formally known as mine the body’s state of being lean overall. A high percentage of body fat can have a negative effect on overall well-being of an individual (Scott, 2013). Large amount of fat stored in certain places on the body it can put that person at a higher risk for disease like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, hypertension, cancer, increase risk heart conditions, and/or stroke. This paper will go over the most effective method of reducing body composition that was performed by individual in a 10 week period and was evaluated through multiple methods.

Gawande talks about how he came up with the idea of hiring a coach to watch him perform surgery after an experience he had playing tennis. Years of playing the game and not improving, Gawande incidentally finds himself play tennis with a young man who is a tennis couch. The young man gives Gawande a tip about keeping his feet under his body when hitting the ball. At first he is uncertain, stating, “My serve had always been the best part of my game…..With a few minutes of tinkering, he’d added at least ten miles an hour to my serve. I was serving harder than I ever had in my life” (Gawande, 2011, p.3). Gawande is so greatly impacted by this experience that he decides to hire a coach to help him with is professional endeavors.
Creative new training methods, developed by coaches, athletes and sport scientists, are aimed to help improve the quality and quantity of athletic training ( Kellmann, 2010, p.1). However, these methods have encountered a consistent set of barriers including overtraining ( Kellmann, 2010, p.1). Due to these barriers, the need for physical and mental recovery in athletics brought an increasing attention in practice and in research ( Kellmann, 2010, p.1).
To many people, fat loss can seem like a magical phenomenon that only occurs when the planets align while you're standing at the end of the leprechaun's rainbow. Other people believe that they just can't achieve the fat loss that other's can because of slower metabolisms, genetics, or a number of other reasons. While fat loss isn't magic, there is a certain degree of truth to the second statement. Every person's body is different and responds differently to different modalities of exercise and nutrition. If there is any secret to fat loss, it's just that. Maximum fat loss stems from finding the right combination of exercise and nutrition that works with your body. With that said, just because some people respond to certain things, doesn't give
