“I don’t need the best hairstyle or the best body. Just give me the ball and I’ll show you what I can do.” This is a famous quote by one of the world’s best fútbol players, Lionel Messi. And of course the best player must play for the best club. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Camp Nou, the home of the most prestigious fútbol club in the world, FC Barcelona. History
It was the October 22, 1899. Hans Gampar, a foreigner from Switzerland was putting up signs in Los Deportes. This unlikely man had a dream to form a fútbol club. Most people gave a positive response to Gampar’s idea, causing an important and life changing meeting at the Gimnasia Solé on November 29. The 11 players that showed up for the meeting were Walter Wild, Lluis d’Ossό, Bartomeu Terradas, Otto Kunzle, Otto

Personally, Barcelona is close to my heart. Their history teaches a lot of great life skills. The many of the talented players hint that hard work pays off, too. Looking at the history of the team, I learned that life is full of challenges. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. A good player never gives up and works as a team. Another thing that makes Barça special to me is that the players play for the passion of fútbol. Not for the attention or the honors. That really stands out to me. To learn more about FC Barcelona you can visit the official website (fcbarcelona.com), or refer to Wikipedia. And if you ever visit Camp Nou, remember to
Today I’m here to talk about how Tom Brady is a cheater. On February 1, 2015 super bowl XLIX was played. The game ended with the New England Patriates defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24. The balls used by the Patriates put in Tom Brady’s hands had been deflated prior to the game. The game was played in an over cast and rainy weather forecast. Where deflated balls would be easier to catch/throw.
I’m sure some people have never really taken a closer look in the extraordinary world of softball. I'm certain that not too many people have gotten to know who invented softball, how you play, ruled or maybe what is the ball made of. In these few pages you can take a better look into the world of softball.
Specific Purpose: I want my audience to know how they can improve their bowling scores the next time they go out on a Friday night.
Golf is a very fun activity which is played by many all around the world. But a big concern about golf is, is golf really a sport? Many people say yes but also, many people say no. I am here to tell you why I think golf is a sport.
I picked up my starting blocks and walked over to the white line along with the seven other girls right beside me. I rubbed the bitter cold from my arms, and took a deep breath. I went to work setting up my blocks, dropping the footholds into the slots that fit my specific measurements. The starter announced that we would have two more minutes to take some practice starts before he would call us to the line. I got down in my blocks, rose up, and finally sprang out of them, just as well as I had been doing in practice the day before. I could not have been more ready for my eighth grade Mid-Southern Conference track meet.
I consider myself a driven, honest, hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated individual. I love to learn, to work, to improve, and most of all to help others. My life goal is to positively impact the lives of others and furthermore the community. While I can not predict how exactly I will do this I start by treating others well, helping out where help is needed, and dedicating myself to my education where I will expand my knowledge and acquire new skills.
Cheerleading Have you ever just saw this one sport where you are just dying to try. Or you just want to spend the rest of your life doing? Well I have. And for me, that sport is cheerleading The inventors of the amazing sport of cheerleading are Thomas Peeble and Johnny Campbell. I thank these people every single day for inventing this amazing sport because they invented my absolute passion.
I know that cheerleading is a sport. Have you ever got asked if you think that cheerleading is a sport or not. That is what I am going to tell you today. Cheerleading is just like football and basketball it is a game where you compete and get points. But with cheerleading it is not about throwing the ball accost a field or making a basket. It is about how well it is performed. To do good they have to prates a lot and they also have to have a lot of upper body mussel.
I can not thank you enough for such a great season! This cheer season definitely exceeded my wildest dreams for my first year of allstar cheerleading. Ever since I watched a video of Cheer Athletics Cheetahs in 2012, I knew I wanted to be an allstar cheerleader, but never thought it would actually happen. To be completely honest, the only reason my parents finally let me do allstar cheer was because of how bad my high school cheer team got with coaches not showing up, lack of dedication, and the way the GV community viewed cheerleading as a whole. In a way, I wish our high school program hit rock bottom way sooner so that I could have gotten a few for years in. I also can not thank you enough for being so understanding about the struggle of balancing two teams. I hated missing any practices for either team, but I felt especially bad for Bengals because my stunt group needed to practice the stunts a lot more. I know how rough it must have been not being able to put up one half of the pyramid and not having one stunt group full every other Thursday, and I can not thank you enough for being so understanding about it.
Rivalries are common in sport, throughout the years people have witnessed great battles and games such as, Mohammed Ali versus George Foreman, New York Giants versus New York Jets, England versus Argentina, and the old firm derby Celtic versus Rangers. But nowadays, rivalries have tended to become more common in football. Football is one of the most watched sports in the world. In Europe it’s considered to be the biggest sport. However, one match that withstands the others is known as the “El Clasico”. Here stands two of footballs most powerful teams, Real Madrid versus Barcelona is known as the greatest sporting event in the world. Barcelona versus Real Madrid whom is not only about football, but also politics. Their clashes goes back in history, it was the royal team versus the peoples team. They both might be from Spain, and share the same country and currency, but their thinking and way of football is totally opposite of each other. In the 21st century, these two teams have tended to differentiate from each other a lot. The purpose of this essay is to compare these two teams within when it comes to history, economy and playing style.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and can tell a thousand tales. Just what exactly is this saying? (Visual of a bad snap shot… finger in shot)
Ronaldo ‘El Fenomeno’ Nazario was a gem of a player. He had the world at his feet at just 21 years of age. This player was something special; something soccer had never seen before and at the mere age of 21,
Barcelona needed a spark. Something or someone that could rejuvenated the bruised and battered team. Many fans were hoping for a brighter future, and the newly elected FC Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, had promised it in the form of the world class midfielder, David Beckham. Laporta was not the favorite in the election, but the Beckham promise swung the vote in his favor. The only problem was, Laporta knew that Beckham had already agreed to sign with Real
Valedictorian Speech Good evening fellow graduates, teachers, family members, friends, and distinguished guests. It is a tremendous honor to be the valedictorian of our graduating class. My job is to somehow be the voice of the entire graduating class, and take five minutes to say a few words on behalf of all 539 of us. Like most valedictorians, writing this speech was not an easy task for me. Not because I did not have anything to say, but because I was overwhelmed by how much I wanted to share with you all on this day. Tonight, we have one common purpose, to celebrate. We are here to congratulate, to look towards what the future holds for us, to wish each other well, and to, most importantly look back on our time spent here. So, I would like to start by saying 'well done' to my fellow graduates, who have all worked hard during the past several years to reach this milestone. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the graduating class for selecting me to speak here tonight. Ever since the news broke, many people, some who've I've never really met before, have come up to me and have wished me well. Perhaps this speech would be incomplete if I don’t say something to the teachers. On the behalf of my entire class, I would like to thank all my teachers: thank you. Thank you for teaching us, for leading us, for building us up as adults. I know that we have not given back to you the respect you deserve. I know that we have not told you how much we appreciate you taking time out of your schedules to help us. And I know that we have not said thank you for giving us a wonderful education. So, I hope that as I say thanks, you can forget our shortcomings and remember us for who we are and not from the mistakes we have made. ...
