I consider myself a driven, honest, hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated individual. I love to learn, to work, to improve, and most of all to help others. My life goal is to positively impact the lives of others and furthermore the community. While I can not predict how exactly I will do this I start by treating others well, helping out where help is needed, and dedicating myself to my education where I will expand my knowledge and acquire new skills. As a college student who is still unsure of the exact major or career path I will take, one thing I know for sure is that regardless of my major I will find a way to use my skills and any and all knowledge I acquire to serve, promote, and protect agriculture, rodeo, and the western way of …show more content…
life. I have been lucky enough to grow up surrounded by the strong presence of agriculture, rodeo, and the western way of life and thus, their importance is very evident to me. My admiration and love for them drive a deep sense of duty to protect them and promote them in this world where many people lack the understanding of their importance. My love for rodeo began as far back as I can remember and stems off my family's long history of involvement in the Livermore Rodeo.
My fondest childhood memories involve the Livermore Rodeo, and I simply cannot remember a day in my life where I was not completely in love with this great rodeo. The 2nd weekend of June has always been my favorite time of year and from a very early age, I wanted to help in any way I could. My whole day was easily made anytime I was given a task that would allow me to help out the wonderful directors and volunteers I dreamed of being when I grew up. Being apart of the group that makes Livermore Rodeo possible was just about the coolest thing little me could dream of… besides being Miss Livermore Rodeo Queen of course! So I started helping with little tasks like tying bows on silverware for the queen dinner, moving chairs, wrapping hot dogs, and trying to sell tickets to all my friends at school. Then a day came where I was lucky enough to be apart of S.P.U.R.S. I had already know that I wanted to spend the rest of my life helping to keep the sport of rodeo and the western way of life alive, S.P.U.R.S gave me the opportunity to start helping out my most favorite rodeo in greater ways at a younger age. Whether in the spotlight as Miss Livermore Rodeo Queen, or behind the scenes cleaning up after an event on a hot summer day, it was, is , and always will be my honor and my pleasure to serve rodeo in any way I can. If I am chosen as the recipient
of this generous scholarship, I can assure you it will be well used to support an education that will never be wasted, an education for a person who will never stop loving and serving agriculture, rodeo, and the western way of life. Thank you for your consideration.
I picked up my starting blocks and walked over to the white line along with the seven other girls right beside me. I rubbed the bitter cold from my arms, and took a deep breath. I went to work setting up my blocks, dropping the footholds into the slots that fit my specific measurements. The starter announced that we would have two more minutes to take some practice starts before he would call us to the line. I got down in my blocks, rose up, and finally sprang out of them, just as well as I had been doing in practice the day before. I could not have been more ready for my eighth grade Mid-Southern Conference track meet.
Cheerleading Have you ever just saw this one sport where you are just dying to try. Or you just want to spend the rest of your life doing? Well I have. And for me, that sport is cheerleading The inventors of the amazing sport of cheerleading are Thomas Peeble and Johnny Campbell. I thank these people every single day for inventing this amazing sport because they invented my absolute passion.
I know that cheerleading is a sport. Have you ever got asked if you think that cheerleading is a sport or not. That is what I am going to tell you today. Cheerleading is just like football and basketball it is a game where you compete and get points. But with cheerleading it is not about throwing the ball accost a field or making a basket. It is about how well it is performed. To do good they have to prates a lot and they also have to have a lot of upper body mussel.
I can not thank you enough for such a great season! This cheer season definitely exceeded my wildest dreams for my first year of allstar cheerleading. Ever since I watched a video of Cheer Athletics Cheetahs in 2012, I knew I wanted to be an allstar cheerleader, but never thought it would actually happen. To be completely honest, the only reason my parents finally let me do allstar cheer was because of how bad my high school cheer team got with coaches not showing up, lack of dedication, and the way the GV community viewed cheerleading as a whole. In a way, I wish our high school program hit rock bottom way sooner so that I could have gotten a few for years in. I also can not thank you enough for being so understanding about the struggle of balancing two teams. I hated missing any practices for either team, but I felt especially bad for Bengals because my stunt group needed to practice the stunts a lot more. I know how rough it must have been not being able to put up one half of the pyramid and not having one stunt group full every other Thursday, and I can not thank you enough for being so understanding about it.
Life is a journey paved with colorful experiences. Mine have lead me on a path to helping others. Continuing my education in a subject that I find fascinating has brought me incredible fulfilment. My goal is to complete The Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program.
Everyone thinks barrel racing is a boring, girl, rodeoing event. It is not. Barrel racing is a fun, exciting, not just a girls rodeo event. I am going to tell you a story about how barrel racing changed a girl’s life and how she changed the sport of barrel racing. I am going to tell you about Amberley Snyder. She was in an accident and she thought she was never gonna be able to ride her horses again and not even barrel race. But Snyder never gave up. She knew that if she gave up, she would never be happy again. She didn't not gave up. She helped work with her horses to make it so she could ride again. She practiced very hard in order for her to barrel race again. She never gave up. She thought about giving up, but she never gave up.
There are many things that I hope to accomplish and do when I get older. I want to improve and accomplish different things for myself in my career that I choose, in my material goals, and spiritually. I'm looking at the year of 2009, I will be out of college and be on my feet, hopefully. I have high expectations for myself and hope to accomplish as many of my dreams and goals as I can throughout my life.
My ultimate life mission is to be able to say that I’ve accomplished or fulfilled God 's purpose for my life here on earth.
I feel that all successful people must make a major positive contribution to the world in some way during their lifetimes. Not everyone can do this, however, and it seems that your view on life has a major effect on your ability to do so. I hope that while developing my skills I also will develop the mindset required to make a major contribution to the world. Ultimately, I think that if I continue to participate in extracurricular activities and courses that hone my knowledge and skills I will be able to have a successful career as a computer engineer, and eventually have an impact on the world for the greater good.
I want to teach, guide, and most of all I want to make a difference. Whine in elementary school I remember the students that were left behind because individuals simply gave up on them. I want to give those children a chance to shine. I want to be the role model that many children have never had the chance to look up to. Before I had any idea ho, I knew that I wanted to help people. Helping people happens in many ways, but the approach that I plan on taking is through the riddance of ignorance. Many children will never fully understand ...
The career that I want to major in is Agriculture Business and management. The reason why I want to major in Agriculture Business is because agriculture is an important aspect of every society for its social, economic, and environmental growth. I first heard of this career from my agriculture advisors, at Westminster High School’s farm, when I was being shown a list of jobs and careers that involved agriculture. I was interested in this career because I have a general interest in agriculture and farming, which is a fundamental part of human life, and to be able to get into a career that is involved in agriculture is an amazing opportunity.
While I realize that these goals are particularly tough to reach, it is what I want, and if there is only one thing I know about myself, it is that I am stubborn, determined, and a believer in Christ. I truly believe that I will accomplish all of my vocational goals if I keep pushing forward. In seventy years, I wish to look back and see that I have a wonderful family, lasting friendships, and have made an impact on the world in some form or fashion. Overall, I want to make a mark on the world, not for the glory of it, but for the joy I have in helping others. This is what my life would look like if I could paint it right at this
The same goes for the people you meet. Some can affect you in beneficial ways and others in harmful ways. Yet, we all have something in common, the power to affect someone’s life either today or tomorrow. The people who have affected me in both the past and continue to affect me today include my teachers, my friends, and my family.. They have taught me how to not only be the best person that I can be, but also how to be a hard worker, to appreciate the people who are in my life, and to care for those people around me and not just myself. Therefore, my dream is to become a nurse where I can help others and I have the chance to learn about other lives by communicating with them. The people in my life, including my friends and family, have taught me how to be caring and how to get involved with other people 's lives. They have given me advice on how to make lasting relationships and have encouraged me to do whatever profession that makes me happy. I have chosen to become a nurse because I want to make a lasting effect on those around me. I want to be able to make a change and I want to make a living off of doing the thing I love the most which is helping others and making their lives something better. I want to make the difference in people’s lives especially since I have been raised and taught to be the caring and compassionate person I am. Lastly, I want to make
Later I will pursue my career in politics. First running for U.S. senate and representing the Democratic party. After seeing that my life would be fulfilled much better if I could change the world in a more drastic way I will run for president. After all of the harsh campaigning I will when the race and proudly represent our country. When I am educated into the office I will begin with my inauguration address and captivating the country I will leave to get to my new home “The White House.” I will become the most effective president the county has ever seen. Starting with my most important policy “Education.” I plan to stress helping out the middle class family with taxes, health insurance, and Medicare. In doing this I plan on looking out for the senior citizens with good retirement funds. I will also encourage peace with the world and strengthening our military. Once I have completed my first term as president I will be elected once again and have an even stronger effect on our country. After resigning and touching the country with my great and inspiring State of the Union address I will pursue my career in aeronautical engineering.
My goal in life is to be a great friend and wife to my fiancé. An exceptional and admirable mother that teaches her children not just right and wrong, but how to be healthy, happy, successful, responsible adults who can do the same for their families. I don’t want to lose sight of who I am and the person I am meant to be in the process. All the while, enjoying every bit of life and making every moment count.
