A protracted 6-hour plane ride and a 2-hour bus ride later, we had finally arrived at the place where our imaginations were the limit, and where the galaxy beyond our own is capable of knowledge our minds couldn’t even begin to comprehend. As we drove up to the village of tin cylinder shaped buildings, known as space camp in Huntsville Alabama, my expectation immediately dropped. But I still had many different thoughts of what the week ahead was going to be like. Would I have fun, or would I just dread the thought of it? But soon all my questions would be answered. As soon as we arrived we got put into our groups, team Phobos and team Luna. I was placed in team Phobos. As the teams split up, this would be the last time we would actually hang out with the other team until the end of the week. One of our strong suits as a team were the missions, Luna, Beta and Orion. The missions were when four people from the team would be in ground control, four people in the spaceship and four people in the international space station. In the first mission, Alpha, I was EECOM. I had to be very alert of the cabin pressure stayed sustainable and that the water and food sources were exceptional. These are planets that orbit around a star other than the sun, but for some galaxies this isn’t truly the case. Astronomers have discovered a group of planets that don’t orbit a star. Scientist believe they are planets that got rejected by other solar systems. Another solar system discovered was a group of planets that orbit around two suns. But the thing that amazes me the most about exoplanets is that they have found other earth like planets. Scientist believe they are capable of water and have the conditions to hold life. The only problem about this planet is that the closest one is 14 light years
