We pulled into the parking lot and I jumped out of the car, the breeze hitting me like a pie in the face. It was overcast and we knew that the rain would be in our favor since it would slow the police down. As we looked for the escape boat, we saw that the police were one step ahead of us; they were looking for our boat as well. We got back in the car and drove to the industrial section of the harbour. “Drive away and tell them I jumped,” I told the driver before he left. I jumped to a cargo ship and managed to grab the ledge. I dangled 100 feet above water right as it started raining. I nearly fell off the boat, but I was grabbed by one of the cargo ship crew. “Come with me,” he said, leading me towards the cargo boxes. (150) “Where is this …show more content…
And made myself comfortable. “It’ll be a few days, so get comfortable,” the man replied, “I’ll make sure to bring you some food.” After days of surviving on the cargo ship, we arrived at our destination. It was a beautiful day out, the salty ocean smell wafting through the air. I came out of the cargo box and walked around the city, letting myself go within the great sounds and views. It was quite an experience. After my excursion ended, I went to a nearby hotel to continue working. (150) In conclusion, I learned that not all bad events have to come to a bad end. I continued my scandalous work against my former-country and continued to support people that left it. My friend ended up getting arrested for “involvement” despite him being the one who aided the police in finding me. My driver did his best to spread rumours that I had died and that my account was passed to someone else. A few months after the large events, I started socializing with the locals. This country hated my former country, so I thought they might’ve been impressed to know who I was. After telling some new friends my story, I was recommended by multiple people to write it down and share it. And here I am now, finishing this last sentence; I guess we’ll see if writing this down was worth it.
Brock awoke to the sound of a trumpet. He was ready to get training. Brock put on his long johns, pants, shirt, coat, and hat. Then he slowly walked out of his tent. When he walked out he was greeted by Major General Wayne. He said, “Follow me i'll show you where you will be training.” Brock followed him for a about a mile until they walked into a large field with hundreds of saddled horses, and about 80 other men. Major General Wayne said,
I have received your letter, are the children healthy and well? How are you lately? Have you been sick recently? I am fine, well, as right as one is capable of being over in this land. I have thought of you every second of every day, there is not one moment I have forgotten about you. I just wish to be back home again. Last time you said that Henry was feeling slightly ill, I have some medicine stashed away in the bottom cupboard near the grand clock. If he shall start to feel very poorly, you may go there and find him medicine. You will know which one it is once you see it, I do not want Henry to turn out like poor Will did.
I jumped and looked around for the source of the eery sound. That’s when I saw It. The door. I hadn’t seen It before. The door wasn’t there last night. Cautiously, I turned the handle.
So they followed the map into the sea for 2 days, and on the third there was a MASSIVE storm it was hailing, there were huge waves, the boat flipped over. “Tulio, Miguel where are you!” I screamed
The Smith’s a family of 4 were at their vacation cabin enjoying a beautiful summer day in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had decided to go camping, while they were out gathering wood for a fire they heard a strange noise. It sounded like an elephant and a pig. The oldest girl told her parents what she had heard and they didn't believe her, they thought she was losing her mind. Until the next night while the kids were asleep John and Joanne heard the same noise their oldest daughter Elizabeth had heard the night before they looked out of their tent to find a strange looking creature with the body of a elephant and the head of a pig standing about 20 yards. They didn't want to scare their kids so the next day when the kids woke up John and Joanne
I stand in the corner of Granville Island’s pavilion, watching a street performer and breathing in the smell of freshly baked bread from the bakery behind me. Mom and Dad were standing in the super long line for the ferry back to Vancouver, but I know that there’s plenty of time for doing anything because the line’s so long. “Hey, Mom? Is the line shorter?” I call out.
Prologue Let’s skip all of that icebreaker jazz and get right into business. I’m Ursula, otherwise known as the wicked sea witch of Atlantica. I used to be important and special, but after I was banished to the murky depths of the icy cold ocean caves, all of that changed. A century came and gone (please note that merpeople live much longer than you wimpy humans do), and I was still sulking in my own loneliness and burning loath for King Triton. After time, my gift of supreme gorgeousness betrayed me, and in its replace, I became scrimpy and hideous- all because of King Triton’s merciless heart.
As the warm lighting of the sky were becoming darker. The color of the sky changed from a living orange to a warm red. The sun was sinking to its horizon. The day was growing tired as I was too. But, one thing was in my path from having a peace of mind, it was the dreadful ride to my destination. It was an end to my same old shift at my job. the clock out line was going by as quicksand. My coworkers multitasking in the locker room and the constant slams of lockers echoing around the room. Then, the only thing left was the line of the security. After that, the fresh air of freedom hit me with feeling of relief. Now all my focus was going peaceful place of mine. With the quickness of a squirrel, I unlock the door. Sat down on my ice seat of the
“Alert! Help! Shuttle going down! Shuttle going down!” I call into the receiver. My shuttle’s going out of control! I tighten my seatbelt to the chair even more and grip onto the controls harder. One second I see that I’m rocketing into an unknown planet. The next moment I heard a thud. My eyes are open, but I don’t feel any sight. Everything’s white and I feel paralyzed. This can’t be how I’m going to die..
“Okay Max, it’s your turn. Climb on in,” the captain said as he broke the silence on the boat. It was clear that my turn was at that moment, but I didn’t respond. “Max!” he shouted abruptly.
Mollie stared at the lapping waves, watching the inky darkness lap at the ship. With every moment that passed, the little voice in the back of her head grew louder urging her to jump. The fall into the sea wouldn’t kill her, no the beast within it would. The sun slowly slipped from the sky casting shadows across the deck.
We got into our lines, behind groups of excited families and happy little old men and women. As the line ascended up the ramp onto this enormous water vessel, pictures were taken of every group of passengers. Smile, laugh and look happy! Riiight. As a matter of fact, I was pretty anxious. I'd never been on a boat like this, and especially not for a whole week.
Introduction: Lightening lit up the sky. I had a feeling that it would only be a matter of time before we were struck and our lives ended. But we did not have such luck. Our ship was struck by lightening and flames leapt up all across the deck.
I set off for France fully equipped, dressed in a dark blue wetsuit, carrying a heavy oxygen tank on my back, and with a snorkel covering my face. As I began to climb over the stones and pebbles that lay between the sea and me, my feet felt cold and weary. Finally, I made it. Now that I was approaching the sea, I was centimeters away from my destiny. As I looked out into the distance, all I could see were layers of water; I had no idea what lay ahead of me.
I woke in a cold sweat, gasping for breath. A low, raspy voice drifted through my window like a calm, quiet wind. It was the voice I had been listening for ever since the last full moon. He was singing his song. The song.
