Theta poked his head into the firing range. Jack was near a table, loading all sorts of guns. His stomach practically churned at the sight, but he fought against it and walked in. He leant against the wall, arms folded. He was practically telling his mind to go ahead and do this--but his body was disagreeing time and times over. ‘’Alright,’’ the captain said, turning to him. ‘’We’re gonna need eye protection and ear defenders.’’ With that, he handed a pair of headphones to Theta -- blue with the Torchwood logo donned on the sides. He took them and put them on -- and did the same with the yellow-colored glasses. Jack did the same, and picked up yet another automatic. ‘’It’s all yours,’’ he handed it over. Accidentally, he pointed it at the other, which caused the captain to jump and grab his wrist, guiding it toward the targets. ‘’Range’s over there,’’ he directed sternly. Theta glanced over to him and back in front. ‘’Right,’’ he breathed. He started by taking the gun in both hands and lifting them above his head. Jack instantly interfered, stopping him. ‘’Let’s try and keep the roof in one piece, alright?’’ Theta stood there, not moving. Jack glanced over to him -- getting a little bit closer. ‘’One hand, not two,’’ he instructed -- carefully taking one of Theta’s hands and placing it to his side. ‘’Turn sideways to the target,’’ the captain helped him turn. ‘’Looking along your shoulder, down your arm, straight line to the sights.’’ Theta looked ahead of him, albeit nervously. ‘’Now then. Bring up the gun,’’ he instructed once more. The other obeyed, but brought it up way too fast. Quickly, Jack interfered and put his hand back down. ‘’Whoa, whoa, whoa. Too fast,’’ he scolded. ‘’Theta, it’s all in your breathing.’’ The other glanced over to the captain in confusion. ‘’Hold it firmly, but don’t grip it,’’ Jack requested.
