“Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September day?” A few months after the unexpected attack on New York City and Washington D.C, Alan Jackson debuted a new song on November 7, 2001 called “Where Were You.” It was launched only eight weeks after the attack. The song had won a Grammy and multiple country music awards. Ten years prior to his first debut of this song, fans still expect him to perform this song at all of his shows. It was a deep and meaningful tribute to the attack and the memorials of the lives that were lost and the buildings that were destroyed. On September 11, 2001, America was under attack. He knew it would take time for it to be ready. According to USA Today, in 1990, a few of the nineteen different terrorists moved to California and began to take flight lessons. The attack was starting to take place ten years prior of the actually crashes. The sad thing was, none of us actually knew it was happening. There were approximately five hundred people helping with the attack. With the minimum amount of surveillance and airline security, it was easy enough for any attackers to enter the states.The attackers had learned so much about American society, it was easy for them to fit in with everyone. This was why it was so easy for such a massive attack to take place. There were approximately nineteen different hijackers. This put about five hijackers on four planes. Every one of these men were connected with one person, Osama bin Laden (Bodden, Valerie). Green (2016) found that Osama bin Laden did not want to use anything to extravagant. His plans was to use objects of everyday life. They used objects such as knives and box cutters. There were no bombs or anything too exotic used. Green (2016) also found that the terrorists chose cross-continental flights because they knew that the planes would be loaded with jet fuel to get them on the other side of the country. Laden’s goal was to attack a few of the country’s largest landmarks: the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, the White House or Capitol building. Flight 11 took off in Boston, MA and was supposed to land in Los Angeles. At 9:03 a.m, Flight 175 to Los Angeles crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center.
