“Men on Wire” is a documentary which show us a story about a French guy named Philippe Petit. He was a famous Wire Walker who at the 70’s used to put his life on risk walking on wire, principally in spot tourism around the world, like The Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, and the Sidney Harbour Bridge in Australia. His master piece and unbelievable feat was to walk between the World Trade Center twin towers in New York.
Is a general agreement that to walk on a wire in high places the person must be a little bit crazy. In fact Phillip was more than a crazy, he also was courageous to face those dangerous challenges, maybe addict on it. In the same time we can realize how friendly and meticulous he was, doing all he needs to do to achieve his goals, always together his friends. After that anyone could take those idea out his mind. He shared his intention with close friends, and they supported his audacious plan. Anyone had tried it before and the WTC soon had been inaugurated. One little mistake could take his life out. Consequently, he needed a good plan. For that reason many times he went to the WTC using fake documents to obtain free access to the building. He made a lot of pictures, also he built a mockup in order to prepare himself and his crew to accomplish the mission. By the way, in one of those times Philippe stepped on a nail and hurt his foot, but, if you think it was an obstacle, you are wrong. Actually he used it to gain more access to the building.
