One of the most significant reasons that travel softball is better than summer league softball is the convenience for a travel softball player to make new friends and meet new people. A softball player has to be a very social person on and off of the softball diamond because coming together as a team is an important part of any sport especially in travel softball when a player might play with eight other girls that she has never met. The players have to communicate with college coaches if they have high intentions on playing softball at the college level. A travel softball player is constantly attending camps, clinics, showcases, and tournaments in different states which allows them to meet other athletes and coaches from across the United
States of America. The relationships that are built while playing travel softball will last a lifetime which makes it so much better than playing with the town's summer league team where a player doesn’t get to play all the time. A beneficial reason for playing travel softball is the opportunity to play the game all year round. Fall ball helps players continue playing after their summer season of travel ball end because it is played from late August to late October. The United States Speciality Sports Association (USSSA), National Softball Association (NSA), and Amateur Softball Association (ASA) all hold softball tournaments in the winter inside domes. Holiday tournaments are also a nice way to continue playing by participating in Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and Valentine’s Day tournaments through the offseason. Through the winter, most travel ball coaches hold practices three days a week because it is much harder to keep skill in the winter months than it is during the summer. All traveling league players continue to learn and gain skill through the winter instead of losing their abilities in order to perform at a higher level of competition like college players do. Travel softball allows players, that are serious about playing collegiate ball, to have options for their recruitment process. As a softball player, showcases and tournaments allow the opportunity for players to communicate with college coaches that attend softball events. It gives players the chance to put themselves out into the recruitment world because most travel softball coaches make their players write several emails to college coaches each month or even each week. When a player knows what college they want to go to, it makes it easier on them to be persistent in emailing that colleges softball coach to attend the showcases and tournaments they will be playing in. A travel softball player can be recruited by a college coach if they are determined to play college softball.
In Mark Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn geography plays an important part to how the story plays out. Their journey ironically takes them south, deeper into Confederate territory, where the racism is thick and the tolerance for black runaways is thin. The first notable affect is the amount of natural cover the Missouri shore provides for Huck and Jim. They hide in the underbrush during the day and use the stream to propel them downstream under the cover of night. The river is helpful as much as it is unhelpful, helping them to escape tricky situations but also making them lose each other and putting them into new situations. Throughout the story, Huck and Jim get them selves into a lot of trouble, trouble that generally
A person that would like to play professional ball will choose baseball because there is a professional big league, such as the St. Louis Cardinals, but in softball that opportunity is not available. Baseball is played on more levels than softball. It is played on the professional, international, Olympic, college, high school, and little league levels. If a player is fortunate enough to make it to the professional level, he can make millions of dollars.
I have been playing softball for about ten years, but prior to that I played baseball. However, the game of softball is on a whole different level. Softball plays require much more speed, and there is a greater possibility of getting injured. The game of softball is more hazardous and fast-paced than baseball.
The first reason is, softball players have less time to react to the ball while batting and fielding. Softball fields are closer and smaller than baseball fields. Baseball infields are 16,700 feet and softball infields are only 7,200 feet. This leaves softball players in the infield, outfield and the batters with less time to react to a pitch or a hit. The distance from home plate to the pitcher's mound in softball is 43 feet while in baseball it is 60 feet. Sarah Trifoso plays for the Niagra Purple Eagles
The game of softball went crazy. Not just in the U.S., but all around the world. Like many sports, the rules of softball have changed throughout history. Anyone who plays softball knows mother nature has a huge role in the game. We play outside on a field so rain, lightning, and thunder don't always get along with the game schedule.
Why is baseball the highest paid sport? Baseball, the sport with no clock, is filled with spare time and not simply the time wasting periods between innings, pitching changes and even pitches, but also before and after games. The season is 162 games not including the 30 plus spring training games and the postseason. But it’s not unusual for coaches to show up seven hours before night games and players to arrive five hours before the first pitch. And that’s not a lot for being in a big sport.

Should kids play football? In recent years parents and grandparents are worrying more and more every day about letting their children or grandchildren play football now than in the past. Roughly four times the number of young football players died from head and spine injuries from 1965 to 1974 compared to 2005-2014, according to previous reports from the University of North Carolina. After careful research on the effects of concussions, it is clear that children should just play and enjoy sports because football is a great way to improve concentration, become better conditioned and gain strength, and improves health overall. There are many benefits of playing with concentration being towards the top of the list.
There aren’t many people in this world that get a joyous feeling out of competing against someone. I happen to be one of those people. Whenever I get a chance to compete against someone I give it my all and hope for the best. Whether it’s in track and field meet, school, or in a grocery store, I’m going to do whatever it takes to win.
Confucius once said, "he who does not do well is less guilty than he who pushes too hard." People found that competitive sports are often physically straining and it is detrimental to proper emotional development. This blows away the misconception that competitive sports create a healthy and engaging atmosphere for kids. This and an overly strong obsession with winning create a toxic mix for the child’s wellbeing. People have begun to realize the world of competitive may be doing more harm than good for their children. Parents have also begun to notice that competitive sports often injure their children severely and also make the child feel left out, which in turn is detrimental to the child 's emotional health. Therefore, competitive sports

Is life a race? Modern society is filled with competition, from a twenty-year-old’s job application to a four-year-old’s Little League baseball game; the question is whether or not children should be exposed to it. The answer isn’t as simple as a yes or no—it is more of an approach to competition rather than a question of competition’s existence. Competition is an integral part of a childhood; it prepares children for the future while pushing them further in the path that they choose. People mistake winning and losing as demeaning titles that serve no purpose other than to make children feel worse about themselves. Children and adults alike are falsely lead to believe that competition hurts. At a surface level, perhaps
