I have learned many things during my college here at the Michigan University Flint. My college years is a time of importance of my growth and change for myself as I have many new ideas and gained experiences that challenged what I already have known and believe. The faculty members who understand the development, have design this journey as a student with courses and activities that met my needs and supported me with my continued development as a social worker. This journey I have looked at theories, done research, and given information on cognitive, moral, and emotional development in social work. My cognitive development, diversity, moral development, and emotional development has made me a stronger individual as well as a social worker. I have gained stronger team building skills that are critical for my effectiveness as a social worker during this experience. I usually have a positive view on every situation. During my intern ship I try to encourage everyone with positive words, which includes giving smiles to everyone I come across paths. In my journey as a student I like to be active in my classes. I have follow through everything I started to work on everything big or even the smallest task. I felt we all have a connectedness in some way, we all are part of something bigger and I do believe things happen for a reason. I have learned a lot about myself from these assessments and the ones, take from class, which will help me as a social worker. I embrace these skills to create more self-love within me.
