The invention of Snap Chat was literally an accident; two measly college students got bored and that’s why they invented Snap Chat. This app has revolutionized photo taking to a whole new level. In this paper I will talk about, who invented Snap Chat, how Snap Chat became popular, why teens use it and how Snap Chat influenced our culture. It all began with Evan Spiegel and Bobby Murphy; they were two college students from Stanford University. They were best friends and did everything together. One night while they were chilling in their dorm room, Evan had a pretty crazy idea; he wanted to invent a messaging app to get hotter college girls to notice them. After that night they began to research on the internet on creating a phone app. Evan and Bobby were convinced that if they created this app, girls would send pictures to one another and become rich. Evan wanted the app to be able to take and share photos among his friends, but Bobby thought this idea would be impossible for them to accomplish. After about a week Bobby and Evan got the camera to work but it had a few bugs, but nothing to be concerned about. After the great success of the camera, Evan wanted something even bigger he wanted a tool on the app that allowed you to vividly use your imagination in the pictures. To their greatest surprise the camera and the drawing tool worked fantastic together. They decided to name this glorious app peek-a-boo because of their ghost logo which Bobby created for a mystical effect. (1) Evan and Bobby have been working very well together until Evan told bobby that he deserved more money from the app because it was his idea not Bobby’s. Bobby didn’t like this idea he believed they should split the money considering they both worked so har... ... middle of paper ... ...nly is driving and texting an issue now you have Snap Chat bullying; which has started to be very common in High School students.(5) Teens think it’s all fun and games to take a photo of someone and spread it around Snap Chat but what they don’t realize is that taking a picture of someone like that can hurt them badly were they think less of themselves and you should feel ashamed of yourself if you ever make someone feel less of a person.(4) We are all equal in gods eyes so don’t be stupid. Snap Chat is an amazing app that was created by two smart college students, so you could interact with each other in an awesome new way that included, photo sharing, drawing, and making pretty cool videos. But understand that having fun is one thing but disrespecting someone or treating someone like dirt is not okay. Just relax and enjoy being a teen with no worry’s .
The Hunger Games was a critically acclaimed movie when it came out; however, some critics would argue that the movie can be sometimes too violent for its intended audience. In this essay I would dissert Brian Bethune’s essay “Dystopia Now” in order to find its weaknesses and compare the movie Battle Royale with his essay.
Moreover, Wortham understands the selfie as ‘a kind of visual diary, a way to mark our short existence,’ a dairy of our pictures of our precious moments and memories in our day-to-day lives that we are sharing and putting them up for everyone to see. It is naturally a major role in society today. Selfies have become something of a main factor in the world of social media, which means it’s safe to say that society is getting to a point where the real world and the virtual world overlap almost

The films The Searchers and Avatar both make use of the master narratives of regulating social order and disorder. One is used as a way to reinforce this narrative, while the latter is shaped more towards critiquing the overall of ideal of the American social order. The struggle presented by an external threats in both films give the opportunity of interpreting and contrasting the master narrative and the effects that can come from imbalances in social orders.
... believe that there should not be texting or phone usage while driving from any age group, young or old. There is some many reasons why everyone should not use their phones while driving. The three main reasons what I have talked to you about today is why people should not text and drive: There are so many people that get hurt or killed, Society’s negative feels about this problem and What can be done to prevent this. This is why texting while driving should be illegal is because it causes horrible wrecks.
“I'm a romantic; a sentimental person thinks things will last, a romantic person hopes against hope that they won't.” F. Scott Fitzgerald said this and it is very apparent that he feels this way in The Great Gatsby. In this novel filled with the experiences of a group of supercilious, rich, white people, Fitzgerald shows this with the many symbols he uses throughout the novel. Among the most arresting are the Green Light at the end of the Buchanan’s dock, which Gatsby envies for, the color white, which deceives readers with Daisy’s deceitful beauty, and the Eyes of T.J. Eckleburg, which sees all wrong done by the characters.
Religion’s chief functions include: a system of explanation and justification for morality. Religion in society provides us with a sense of purpose, security, morality, and obedience. This impacts every society because, as Pojman stated, “it legitimizes social mores, morality itself, as well as rituals for the dedication of children, rites of passage, marriage, and the passage from death to the beyond” (Pojman 1). This gives an accurate explanation of the different cultural traditions and views that exist worldwide.
Snapchat has around 30 million active monthly users, with many being in the 18 to 24 year age range. The ‘snap’ what Snapchat calls its private messages is derivative of the SMS text message and instant messaging applications. One of the most unique things about Snapchat is the ‘self-destructing’ feature for phot...

In order to ensure a healthy eating lifestyle for citizens the government should impose taxes on junk foods and drinks that are that are less in nutritional value than what is recommended to be consumed by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture). The extra money from junk food taxes can be used to subsidize actual healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables that seemed to be high priced. Unhealthy foods tend to lead to obesity and health risks. According to Alexandra Sifferlin, (a reporter for TIME who covers health-related issues) “42% of the population will be obese by 2030, which is based on a study released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention”. Many problems will accompany obesity, such as Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, strokes and other health risks. While this proposal seems purely beneficial, it is not that simple to just impose a tax on what is deemed healthy in order to benefit the vast majority of people in the United States. There are many variables and factors that have to be considered if this proposal is to be put into effect.
As a starting point I have chosen to use the “Experimental Learning Model” (ELM) (Kolb & Fry, 1975) both because of its simplicity and to limit my own tendency to over complicate things as a way of avoiding bringing myself onto the page, which is something often commented upon in previous feedback.
...y, but at the same time those receiving the image have the ability to screenshot (the act of taking a picture from one’s phone screen), and keep or share that image with others. Sexting in general is a problem that many teens face, and with the use of Snapchat as a form of social netoworking the problem seems to be only growing in severity (Bromfield, 2013).
The very first iPhone was announced by the founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, in 2007. His vision was to reinvent the phone. iPhones have revolutionized smartphones and have shaped the cell phone industry into what it is today. On January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs put together an incredible keynote presentation. He stated that he would be “introducing a wide-screen ipod with touch controls, a revolutionary mobile phone, and a breakthrough Internet device” (Ritchie, 2015). The audience assumed that this meant that Mr. Jobs would be launching three separate devices. However, it was only one device, the iPhone. Within the past 7 years, Apple has been able to tweak its iPhones by incorporating major redesigns. These redesigns use combinations
Technology has been and will continue to be an essential part of human life. Information technology is a revolution that has taken the whole world captive. Everyone around the globe is trying either to conform or catch up with the ever changing and improving technologies without having a second thought of its impact on their lives. The internet is the ground-breaking invention of the twenty first century, leading to the mushrooming of the social media and other communication platforms. The best invention that has captured my interest is the instagram. Its effect and how it has positively impacted on the lives of people, especially the youth cannot be underestimated. Instagram is improving the quality life. It has unlocked our creativity, enhanced connection and led to faster access to information. Comparing the past with the present, we can argue that information technology has done more good than harm and even as we progress into the future, we ought to adopt better technology because what we currently have may not be good enough.
