There are several skills listed under interpersonal skills. It is important for one to develop good interpersonal skills as it
helps one to make informed decisions and create a good social relationship with people around them. A person’s
professionalism in life can partly be judged through interpersonal skills. It is one of the major skills required to survive

According to Harvey Deutschendorf, there are five ways to improve our listening
skills. They are to be fully in the moment, put ourselves in their shoes, pick up key points and let the speaker know we did,
practise active listening and develop curiosity, an open mind and a desire for continuous growth.

As a professional in today’s society, it is greatly important to be able to communicate effectively with other professionals, with clients, and with those that are encountered in daily living.
