Besides that, hearing from others will help someone to lower his ego as he will recognize thus admit his weakness. This is shown by Bruce in Cuban Fury. After he decided to dance salsa again, he went to meet his old coach, Ron. Ron allowed him to join a salsa class in his studio, El Corazon. Bruce surprised after he found out that there is only a class for beginners and the coach was not Ron. He felt that he did not belong there and voice out his dissatisfaction to Ron. Ron challenged Bruce to dance with Alicia, the winner of the 2007 world competition. Unfortunately, Bruce lost all the steps. He went

On a daily basis, we come in contact with individuals that we have to communicate with, wither it be for work purposes, educational purposes, or social practices. As active humans we cannot escape the idea of socializing or communication, therefor; we make it a daily routine who we communicate with, how we communicate with them, what we listen to and how we listen it. With this routine habits are formed, some are strengths but others are weaknesses that diminish the communication quality. It is extremely important for individuals to recognize these strengths and weakness within their communication routine. By recognizing their strengths, they are able to improve even further and use their ability to get them closer to goals they may have set for themselves. Recognizing their weaknesses is just as important if not more important.
De Bono's six thinking hats use this lateral thinking technique. All members of a group will focus on a single aspect of a problem at the same time, moving on to another aspect together once discussion of the current one is exhausted. For example the Black hat is for judgment, the Green hat for creativity and the White hat signifies information needed or already know. This system is widely used for business' mainly in meetings, but also used in classrooms as well. is best understood in contrast to traditional argument or adversarial thinking. By wearing each hat you can effectively scan the entire situation and separate your thinking modes and ultimately embrace a more holistic or global perspective and approach to your problem or challenge. This approach is simple but powerful.

Listening is a big part of communicating well with others. Take time to carefully listen to what others are saying, and also take time to observe their nonverbal communications. A good listener does not interrupt the person while their talking. they make eye contact with the person speaking. they provide the speaker with their full attention, avoid unnecessary distractions, and try to understand the other persons point of view by being empathetic.
To be effective listeners, the listening process should be incorporated into our lives. We should be attentive to what people say, clarify what the speaker is trying to come across, and respond in a way the speaker can understand what we are saying. I think I was aware that I needed some improvement in certain areas of this process but I feel as everything is slowly changing. In the future, I’m going try not to interrupt people, get distracted, tune out, and try to get a bigger picture of what the person is telling me. If good listening habits are applied in our day-to-day life, we can easily communicate with anyone and everyone.
Keeping an open mind when a problem approaches can be difficult at times, especially when we are brought up with beliefs and values throughout our life. These beliefs and values can prevent individuals from accepting new ideas or challenges as they avoid the problem. There are many individuals that can maintain an open mind, just as there are those who find difficulty to do so. Those who consider themselves open minded are receptive to new ideas and are willing to accept new challenges, allowing them to focus on the problem or challenge as they utilize their critical thinking skills. Being open minded allows individuals to find solutions to overcome the issue or challenge.

It doesn’t matter if they are failing or success, the only thing matter is how hard people are trying during the process. The value of success will worth and have respect after they walk through failure. It’s important on how people stand up after they failed, not how they failed, because everyone will fail at least one time on their life. One of the main aspects in communicating is listening. An effective listener is one who, not only comprehends how the speaker feels but, also understands what they are stating.
