For example, in 1878, Charles Bennett discovered a way to make cameras that were more sensitive to light, and these immediately started being used for medical purposes, and then in 1895 Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen started using astronomical X-rays for medical purposes such as detecting bone fractures and breaks. Also, recently developed astronomical equipment in the 1990’s has helped with retinal imaging, and it has been credited with the discovery of multiple diseases related to the eye, and it has also helped cure them, which reduces the amount of blind or visually impaired people in the general public. All of these examples were beneficial to the medical world and help treat patients more easily than before.
