Good morning Angela, I wanted to let you know we are going to get someone out there by the beginning of next week if not sooner weather permitting. To be clear, we are going to come out to attempt to remedy the issue that you have brought to our attention. Being that the issue you have brought up to us seems to be an issue that was already existing in the same location, it seems to us that the true problem may be higher up on the shingle roof portion, not the metal roof portion we were contracted for. This would consist of adding a board along that transition to raise it up and installing a larger metal flashing piece, that would have to be custom made, up the existing shingle roof. According to the plans we have, it looks to be roughly 40" worth on the kitchen side. It is our thought that this may remedy the issue. Although this is work you were not charged for and was not originally discussed as part of the scope of work we were contracted to do, we will, however, install that at no additional charge. If the problem still persists it will be concluded that the issue is higher up on the roof portion that we were told not to replace. Upon that conclusion, it will be up to you to decide if replacing the upper portion is something you would like to do. To be clear that would be an additional project with new contracts and costs. Without replacing the entire roof and having a fresh start there is and was no guarantee that the issue was able to determine to be coming from one specific area. As indicated by you, your mother in law and our installer, the problem is the same as before the metal work was done. As there is no change to the issue and there is an entirely new roof covering added to the

In 1982, Winnipeg Condominium discovered issues with the Tyndal stone on the outside of the building. After consultation, they did some remedial work in an attempt to correct the problem. However, in 1989 a large section of the stone fell off the building from the ninth storey. Winnipeg Condominium then replaced the entire exterior at a cost of over $1.5 million (Herschorn, 1996, p. 110). In 1990, Winnipeg Condominium proceeded to take legal action against Bird Construction, the general contractor; Smith Carter Partners, the architects; and the masonry firm of Kornov...

Great cities are colorful, diverse, and enduring; the city of New Orleans is a gem. Rich in history, culture and natural resources New Orleans provides immense benefits to the rest or our beautiful country. In response to the documentary “When the Levees Broke” made by the notorious Spike Lee, we are faced with many tragic images; however there is never a question that the people of New Orleans are an enduring and kindred community in desperate of need of loving hands. Sharon Keating writes in her editorial “It's time for a nation to return the favor” Sunday, November 20, 2005 Times-Picayune. A key piece to understand is her take on “Great Cities” “They are made by their place and their people, their beauty and their risk. Water flows around and through most of them. And one of the greatest bodies of water in the land flows through this one; the Mississippi. Even though New Orleans sits below sea level the city has proven it’s worth, with a thriving shipping port, universities, hospitals and a culture overflowing with beauty; American’s must ensure the levees are rebuilt.
