This study uses secondary data as well as tertiary data for research. Meta-analysis involves several journals and scholarly articles reviewed over three-month period to analyze the shortage of providers in three US States: Colorado, Kansas, and Utah. A cross-sectional survey will be mailed to 15 different primary care clinics within these three states. The participation in the survey will be voluntary and all respondents will have an option to mail, email or fax the survey. An important aspect of a research proposal is a data analysis, which obtains useful and usable information. Data analysis identifies relationships and differences between variables, summarize and describe the data, and forecast outcomes. As discussed above, our study involves both qualitative and quantitative research. If an average of 5 primary care professionals respond to the survey, that would total 75 participants from 15 clinics.
The data obtained from the survey will be categorized according to the type of health care professionals: doctors, nurses, front desk employees, medical assistants, and nurse practitioners. In order to find how far the singular values of the study are scattered around the average, quartile deviation will be used, which is the average deviation of the quartiles from the median. The difference between the greatest and the smallest value of the primary care professionals responding to the survey will be measured as the …show more content…

To eliminate Primary Care Health Professional shortage in the US, the Kaiser Family Foundation estimates a need to add at least 8073 physicians in 2014.
