In order to further understand the customer data that has been accumulated through the purchases and transactions that have collected through the Nile online bookstore, three different regression models were completed. These regressions were completed in order to analyze the data in order to help the retailer better understand their customers, regarding which gender purchases more books, given the age of the customers or the day of the week the customer purchased a book. In order to help the retailer understand this information, customer data was gathered and used from over the last year in order to provide interpretations. The first step we week took to complete this process is to run the regressions, which resulted in three different models. We began by running the first regression. The first regression we ran contained only one variable, which was the gender variable. After running the first regression, we were able to successful complete …show more content…
After we completed the three regressions in total, we then evaluated the differences and determined which model out of the three would be the best. Between the three regression models that were completed, Model #3 would be the best model. The reason Model #3 is the best model out of all of them is due to the increase in the adjusted R2, which ended up being the highest out of all of the regressions that we ran according to the regression statistics. Model #3 consists of the data that includes the purchase amount by gender, controlling for the age of the customer, and the day of the week the purchase was made. The Adjusted R2 was higher than the other models due to the fact that the regression in Model #3 took more variables into
In order to find out what are some of the key drivers’ of the analysis I will further run different sensitivity analysis. I think some of the key drivers of our assumptions could be sales growth, production costs as a percentage of sales, inventories as a percentage of cost of goods sold etc.

To Kill a Mockingbird, the novel by Harper Lee embodies a work of Southern literature, set in the 1930s in a small town in Alabama. The book’s genre exemplifies a coming-of-age historical fiction story. The narrator, a young girl named Scout Finch, describes the lessons she and her brother Jem learn when their father, a lawyer named Atticus, defends an African American man who stands accused of raping a white woman. The novel’s premise revolves around the efforts of a father raising his children and guiding them in their moral development. Along the way, the book deals with the themes of courage, prejudice and maturity. These three concepts are defined differently by Atticus than by most of the other people in the town where he lives. According to Atticus, courage means doing what remains as right and resisting what remains as wrong, even if other people oppose you. In contrast to the prejudice of the townspeople, Atticus believes it important to treat everyone equally. Maturity, in Atticus’ view, refers to having a sense of conscience and seeking to protect those who remain innocent. As these definitions show, Atticus Finch displays a strong sense of ethics. His goal as a parent remains to pass his values on to his children. This paper will argue that Scout and Jem learn the true meanings of courage, prejudice and maturity through the influence of their father and the example he sets for them.

The Multiple Regression is a sophisticated modeling technique, this model predicts the consumer behavior on the basis of many attributes all at the same time in the process unlike single attribute in Single Linear Regression. Unlike the Simple Linear Regression, this model comprises of multiple predictors or independent variables which help us reach the dependent variables. In marketing terms the independent variables can be age, income, product affinity etc. and the dependent variable is the answer to the marketers question for e.g. what are the chances that a particular segment of customer will positively react to a marketing promotion. This model is used by the direct marketers to build powerful targ...

Hartwick college has recently changed the rules to the living requirements of full time students. With the building of new apartments on campus, the college has made it mandatory that all students live on campus all four years. The college did not let incoming students know of this change before we chose to attend this college. Being able to have the option to live off of campus Junior and Senior year is a perk of going to college, but Hartwick took that perk away from us.
Furthermore, I will explain the application of theory relating to me and my purchase. I will also review the marketing activity of the organization where I purchased from. This is to explain how the two theories have been used in the marketing strategy. In addition, recommendations regarding how the marketing strategy could have been improved by applying the 2 buyer behaviour theories are given.
Davenport expresses the need for a widespread use of modeling to take the basic statistical data to a new level. By generating predictive models firms become better able to determine the places in the business and the customers that will help to drive the greatest potential profitability while at the same time determining those customers who are most likely to discontinue their relationship with the firm. These tests can theoretically analyze the possible outcomes of business factors on profitability and provide viable options for things such as price point, shipping costs and even product R&D (Davenport,2006).
To effectively sell a product or service, organizations have to really know how customers behave, regarding to what they buy. The study
The research on consumer behavior assists the organization recognize and forecast the purchase behavior of the consumers while they are purchasing a product. Thus, the study of consumer behavior helps the marketers not only to understand what consumer's purchase, but helps to understand why they purchase it (Kumar, 2004). There are a lot of elements which can influence the purchase decision of consumers such as social influences, cultural influences, psychological factors and personal factors (Super Professeur, 2011). Understanding these factors helps the company to market the product on right time to the right consumers in order to generate more profits. On the other hand, if the marketers fail to understand these components that might influence consumers, they will fail to convince the consumers to purchase that product or will fail to meet the demands of consumers. However, consumer behavior is one of the stimulating and challenging areas in marketing studies being a human activity focused on the products and services. Thus understanding the behavior of the consumers is a great challenge. Moreover, it is not easy to get a full picture of consumer behavior as customers make plenty of different buying decision every day and they usually do not know exactly what influences their purchase. In short, basing on all
