I stand next to the stage as they announce the winner of the science fair. “And the winner is…” The government official opens a small red envelope, “Lucas and his perpetual motion machine! Tomorrow he’ll be flown to the capital, where he will be naturalized into the government’s top research crew, to study and find ways to help the world with this invention. This is history in the making!”
The crowd cheers loudly. I just stand there looking despondently at my broken water engine.
It was a nominal thing, barely bigger than a bread box. But that's what so good about it, it’s tiny but it could power a sixteen wheeler if it wanted to, and it uses almost no fuel, besides water. It uses a small charge to get started, and could stay going as long you wanted. It was perfect… or at least it was perfect until Lucas came along.
It was March 23, 2047, two years after my family were repatriated back to America. I was sitting in my room playing “Ghost Cod 24123 Sniper Scope Assassin 56” on my iphone 21, when my father walked in with a flyer in hand.
“Alex, guess what I found.” He practically sings as he prances into my room, waving the flyer about (I’m only barely exaggerating).
“What is it dad?” I ask pulling out my wireless earbuds.

It worked by splitting a water molecule (H2O) into two atoms of Hydrogen and one of Oxygen. The atoms are then sorted by size and sent out of the accelerator (which uses magnetic fields to push atoms forward). The atoms are then shot out of the accelerator and collide with the the opposite atom. This causes a fusion, which causes an explosion, which powers the engine and propels more water forward. The resulting Neon atom would be very unstable and split in a fraction of a second before forming back into water to repeat the cycle. It was the perfect invention nothing could get in my way. Oh how ignorant I
Albert Einstein predicted that mass could be converted into energy early in the century and was confirmed experimentally by John D. Cockcroft and Ernest Walton in 1932. In 1939, Otto Hahn and Fritz Strassmann discovered that neutrons striking the element uranium caused the atoms to split apart. Physicists found out that among the pieces of a split atom were newly produced neutrons. These might encounter other uranium nuclei, caused them to split, and start a chain reaction. If the chain reaction were limited to a moderate pace, a new source of energy could be the result. The chain reaction could release energy rapidly and with explosive force.
No one knows for sure where the ponies came from. The chincoteague ponies stand at twelve to thirteen hands. Chincoteague ponies are stocky with short legs, thick manes, and large round bellies. Assateague island is a harsh environment for them to live and there diet is limited. We will be focusing on the Chincoteague pony roundup. You will learn about the History, The modern day, How did the book Misty of Chincoteague help the pony roundup become famous,You will also learn about the ponies on Assateague island, Finally you will learn a few quick facts about assateague island. Did you know for a horse to be considered a pony it has to stand less the 14 hands or 4.6 feet?

In this essay, I will be describing my Rube Goldberg machine and how it relates to force, motion, speed, and the transfers of energy through each step. In this project, we have a series of drops turns and transaction where one object will hit another. The goal of our machine is to pop a water balloon. To pop the water balloon we had a track that led to the water balloon hitting a mouse trap and popping it.
I am writing you in regards that I might persuade you to provide me with ten extra points on my semester grade average. I strongly believe everyone has difficulty maintaining a decent grade throughout some point in their high school year. I just so happen to have a little trouble as well, this is why I believe I should be provided in receiving the ten extra points. High school can definitely be a great challenge for anyone attending it; therefore, it is always good to take advantage of any extra credit, or extra points to help you maintain your grade. Just in case you fail one assignment you will always have the extra credit points to help you maintain your grade.
In addition, Seaborg and his team used the University of California’s Radiation Laboratory’s Cyclotron to perform the experiment once the samples had been prepared. The machine functions by attracting and repelling charged samples (ions) towards and away from the outer walls of the machine, to induce a spiral effect on the sample. When the sample speeds up, and moves farther towards the outside of the chamber, collides at high speed with a detector, and at that instant has proton(s) removed from the sample creating the new element (American Institute of Physics,
Well, a place where to live is essential for everybody. Today I am going to show you a less expensive, practical and ecofriendly solution for this basic but indispensable necessity.
New technological advancements were produced in the city for the people’s viewing. It was such a phenomenon to see all the various new inventions that were displayed in the fair that many people have never seen before. Such description was given of the people’s view on the fair, “Within the fair’s buildings visitors encountered devices and concepts new to them and to the world. They heard live music played by an orchestra in New York and transmitted to the fair by long-distance telephone. They saw the first moving pictures on Edison’s Kinetoscope, and they watched, stunned, as lightning chattered from Nikola Tesla’s body. They saw even more ungodly things—the first zipper; the first-ever all-electric kitchen, which included an automatic dishwasher;” (Larson 247). The most innovative contraption seen in the fair was Nikola Tesla’s AC electricity system that overshadowed Edison’s direct current system. Tesla’s system was a huge success as “lamps that laced every building and walkway produced the most elaborate demonstration of electric illumination ever attempted and the first large-scale test of alternating current...These were important engineering milestones,” (Larson 254). Milestones, indeed, as this was a new sense of technology that was being brought out in the fair, making the fair a huge success for it’s technological influence in American
Recently, there has been controversies regarding towards college standardized test scores where for example, high school students take the SAT for colleges and they decide to weight more on the person’s scoring on the SAT. Despite the junior and senior high school student’s hatred of taking the SAT, are the tests worth it? Though people in this room may have their judgements about my decision, but everybody view their opinions, view their experiences and view their perspectives differently. In ahead of time, I apologize to those who may think I will offend them. Don’t consider this as a debate, but do consider it as a freedom of speech by the first amendment.

Women in psychology in the earlier part of the nineteen hundreds went through so many hardships because of their sex and what might have been socially acceptable at the time. At that time, women were not considered significant figures in society and were deemed unfit to pursue their educational goals compared to that of the men. Of the many women that went through various hardships so that psychology is what it is today are persons like: Mary Whiton Calkins, Margret Floy Washburn, Karen Horney and Mary Ainsworth. Mary Calkins was one of the women who earned her PhD at Harvard, but was denied the degree because the university did not accept women. It must have been a very difficult thing for her at that time, investing her time and effort into work that was not accredited to her.
And it has evolved greatly ever since, even starting to loop back to Edison’s original plan for an electric car. So its safe to say that that the automobile is one of, if not, the most influential inventions in the United States.
...perfectly thin finger like branches each holding emerald coloured summer leaves almost like holding precious gold. I make my way to the golden pathway. A double path for comers and goers leading into the hope buildings surroundings and leading out into the city.I take my backpack off my aching shoulders and unzip my front compartment to retrieve my gloscitor and throw it into the air to activate it. A gloscitor is a hoverboard made from governments most advance technology.it uses a person’s deoxyribonucleic acid to activate it for use it can hover five feet tall and can reach maximum speeds of thirty miles per hour. As I mount myself upon my board and prepare myself to set off I hear a voice shout “freedom and peace jacks freedom and peace” it was higgot reminding me what it was exactly he was fighting for the last time I wave to him and jet off into the city.
