1.) What appeals to you most about being a Team Captain on the Scarlet Ambassador Team? I am interested in becoming a Team Captain to have an opportunity to lead the Scarlet Ambassador team in a way that is productive as well as a positive experience for all of the employees. In addition, I feel that through my time at the Visitor Center I have had the opportunity to observe and learn from our current team captains and possess the necessary skills required to be a successful captain. Also, I am a leader at heart and enjoy being the one to problem solve and encourage team members. 2.) What do you think are the three most important qualities a Team Captain should have? The three most important qualities that a team captain should have are positivity, patience, and the ability to maintain composer in difficult or high stress situations. It is important to be a positive person and enjoy the job because the team captain is the role model for the other employees. If the team captain is not positive how can it be expected from other employees. In addition, patience is an important quality because often times it is the job of the team captain to handle difficult situations with visitors. This is because I am coming from a general place of respect for the people I work with as opposed to letting the position get to my head. The greatest challenge as a team leader will be having an answer for all of the questions that scarlet ambassadors will have, but at the end of the day no one can know the answer to everything and I have to accept that and ask for help from either any of the people in the office or a fellow team
