Tragic Love

Families have a big impact on the decisions that teens make.
Parents can influence children spiritually, emotionally, on what they physically do and even what they do sexually. When it comes to choosing a lover, it can be extremely hard for a child if the parents do not support one's lover.
In Romeo and Juliet, this was the case and lead to a tragic ending, at least it did for Romeo and Juliet.

The Montague and The Capulet family have what seems to be an everlasting feud. Romeo and Juliet met without any knowledge beforehand that they came from their very own family’s enemy. Juliet expressed this when she found out that Romeo was a Montague “My only love sprung from my only hate!” (Shakespeare I.vi.137). Meaning that she has never been in love until this point but coincidentally as soon as she finds a lover, he comes from the only family that has a conflict with her own. Therefore her parents arrange a marriage between Paris and Juliet, something Juliet did not want to do. “He [Paris] shall not make me [Juliet] there a joyful bride” (Shakespeare III.iv.117). Juliet attempts to explain to her parents that she does not want to marry Paris but obviously could not tell her parents why which is because she is already in love and married to a Montague.Capulet and Lady Capulet did not give their daughter a choice.“ But fettle your fine joints gainst Thursday next/ To go with Paris to Saint Peter's church/or I will drag thee on a hurdle thither.” (Shakespeare III.iv.153-155). Capulet was furious when hearing Juliet’s refusal and made it clear that she will marry him. Capulet tried to force Juliet which contributed to her death. If the feud was let go from the beginning, Juliet would feel comfortable telling her parents who she is in love with, but Juliet knows her family would never allow
