Romeo Montague, age 16, died due to poison on August 14, 1595, in the tomb of the Capulets. Born on December 16, 1579, Romeo lived a short life, but it was a full of love, heartbreak and fun. Romeo was the only son of the Capulet family. He was loved dearly by both his mother and father, Lord and Lady Montague and many others. Romeo is survived by his parents, Lord and Lady Montague, of Verona; his relatives, Benvolio and Mercutio (Dead), of Verona; and his servant, Balthasar. A great leader and strong role model, Romeo knew when to have fun and when to fool around with his friends.
Romeo will be remembered by one of his favorite quotes, “But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.” Romeo was one to express his love for Juliet and show
He married Juliet at Friar Laurence's and the couple had a great relationship.He enjoyed taking long walks, hanging out with his friends and fighting. His family and friends will always remember him as a strong and confident person.After being exiled, Romeo heard the news that Juliet, his wife and love, had passed away from and unknown cause. He quickly gathered a few things to go visit her in her tomb. There, after seeing her laying there, Romeo put a vial of poison to his lips to he could forever be with his love. This act of love might have been a bit crazy but that is how people will remember him. Romeo knew this is what he wanted and had to do to be with Juliet. Romeo died painlessly and unexpected. He is safe now and will always be with Juliet. A funeral is scheduled for Friday, August 20, at the town center with a reception to follow at the house of Montagues. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Romeo and Juliet's life. While there is much grief, the families of the Montagues and Capulets will get together to celebrate the life of the two star crossed
