Creative, Confident, and Overcoming A lot more kids are growing up without parents or adult figures in their lives. Without those figures in their lives they sometimes turn to football players, movie stars, celebrities, or basketball players. But some of those famous people can have bad influences by making bad decisions because of social media more and more people find out about it Beyoncé, Carrie Underwood, and Marilyn Monroe are just three great role models with different quality’s that can impact any kid positively or negatively. In the year of 2005 she put her dream of sing to the side to get a degree in broadcast journalism. In her senior year at Northeastern State University she went to an American Idol audition and moved on to winning the 4th season of American idol. And went on to wining multiple Grammys and Academy of Country Music Awards. Underwood was Best Female Country Vocal Performance, Academy of Country Music Award, Country Music Association Award, two Grammy Awards and, Best New Artist, in 2006. At the age of 26 she was the youngest member of the Grand Ole Opry. Carrie Underwood had to have amazing confidence in herself to get her all of these awards and to where she is in life now, but after having her baby came the pressure of losing the weight. For losing the baby weight she used a personal trail and often sometimes worked out with her son in her arms. The first time, ten years ago, she used supplements with dangerous herds in it to help her loss weight after she won American Idol. Norma Jeane Mortenson overcame a horrible childhood. After her mother, Gladys Pearl Baker, was not able to take care of her anymore because of fighting her own demons and spending most of her adult life in institutions, Mortenson was placed into the care of Ida and Wayne Bolender then later being placed into foster care and orphanage. Monroe actually had two other half siblings, but never meet them because her mother’s ex-husband took the children and they were never seen again. At one point she was living with a family friend, Grace and Doc Goddard, who were paid $25 weekly to raise her from her mother. But when Doc Goddard got a job transferee, they couldn’t afford to take her with them so she was placed back into foster care. When in foster care and in orphanage Mortenson was sexually assaulted, and she later said she was raped at the age of 11. The only way out was marriage. At the age of 16 she married her boyfriend Jimmy Dougherty, who was 20, and at this time she had already dropped out of high school. When Dougherty was sent to South Pacific with the Marines, she went to work in a munitions factory where she was discovered by a photographer.
