I think Rocket Fishing Rod be banned. I have used it once and I had to take a screwdriver and tighten the screws after it fell apart. After three cast it started to lose power and only threw the bober with the bait in it about two feet. I had to us worms, because you can not fit a lure in the bober. Another bad thing about it is that when the bober hits the water it makes such a splash it scares all the fish away that are around it.
I think that the Rocket Fishing Rod should be banned because it is made of cheap plastic and beaks really easy. It would not be a good fishing rod for kids because kids can be destructive. Another reason that it would not be a good kids fishing rod is because if you do not fight the fish right the line will
break. My opinion is that a kid would catch a fish, break the line where it is connected and the bobber and fish would swim away. Then the kid would not be able to fish any more. I do not like the bobber that you put the bait in because it does not let the bait out of the bobber sometimes. When you get a bite you can barely see it because the bobber is so big. I also do not like the safety that you have to push to shot it. Sometimes the bobber does not want to cock or go in the rocket. If you were a kid would you want a fishing rod that does not work? When the bobber goes in the barrel it will get jammed sometimes. That is some reasons I think Rocket Fishing Rod should be banned. If you are going to by a fishing rod for your kid I would suggest not to by one. Would you rather buy a piece of junk that doesn't work, or a rod that cost $25 from Walmart that will last your kid a year or two?
Fly rods are drastically different from spinning rods. Fly rods can be as big a 12 feet long. The longer the rod they farther you can cast. Fly rods are categorized into weight classes. These weight classes determine the sizes and the weight of the rod; the weights range from a 0-weight, all the way to a 14-weight rod; 0 being the smallest and 14 being the biggest; the lower the number on the rod the lighter the rod; they are also more flexible than longer rods; the average trout fisherman uses somewhere between a 3-weight to a 5-weight rod, depending on the size of fish they are trying to catch (Jardine 53-59). Catching a larger fish on a smaller weight rod takes practice, in that fly rods are very delicate. Fly rods will break very easily if too much pressure is put on the tip of the rod, but if used properly will last a lifetime (Jardine 53). On the other hand, spinning rods are quite sturdy. Most all spinning rods are in the six to eight-foot length. Longer rods are typically stiffer than shorter rods. Spinning rods and fly rods come in three different actions: slow, medium, and fast. Slow action rods are more flexible towards the middle of the rod; medium action rods are a less flexible in the middle and start bending three-fourths of the way up the rod fast action rods are stiff most of the way up the rod and are flexible at about the last two feet of the rod (Jardine 53). When
The banning of books started way back, back in 1637 to be exact (America’s First Banned Book and the Battle for the Soul of the Country). The banning of New English Canaan by Thomas Morton ignited a spark, but as years gone by, the spark has evolved into a roaring flame(America’s First Banned Book and the Battle for the Soul of the Country). In 1951, The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger was published ("Catcher in the Rye is published"). Ever since its publication, it has been the target to many people for this simple question: should the book be banned? As a matter of fact, in a mere 10 to 20 years, the book was added to the banned book list(Banned Book: The Catcher in the Rye). This angered many readers in the United States, and some tried
I am writing on behalf of my thoughts and myself about gun control laws. My position on this topic is neutral leaning towards the "No Gun" law. The idea of a federal law to ban these guns is a good idea, but it could be better. I believe strongly that guns should be banned from our country in some kind of way, but there are exceptions like for law enforcement and hunters. This law could lower the murder and death rates drastically. The US would be a whole different and safer country to live in. No one should live in a society where they are afraid of being killed by a gun, we should try harder to make this society in the US a better place. I have many reasons to back my views on this topic, and here are some main reasons that you should really think about.
Over the last decade or so, the United States of America has been shaken by an epidemic of terrifying mass shootings, devastating slayings of unexpecting victims, and unnerving annihilations of the innocent. There is no specific target, no explicitly sought-out group, nor definite individual. From a classroom of first-graders, to a crowded movie theatre, to a U.S. Naval yard, the location seems at most, random, other than that it is almost always a public place. The perpetrators responsible for these horrific murders also vary, and often surprise those who thought they knew them. However, while the occurrences of mass shootings are unpredictable and always shocking, most have one thing in common: the use, or rather misuse, of assault weapons-automatic or semiautomatic military style rifles. To ensure the safety, security, and well-being of the people of the United States, the government should ban assault weapons.
Assault weapon control is becoming an unavoidable topic in the United States. According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation more than nine hundred people have died from mass shootings in the past seven years and an assault rifle was used in twelve of the forty-three mass shootings in the past four years. The U.S. Department of Defense has long defined assault rifles as fully automatic rifles used for military purposes. The National Firearm Act of 1934 prohibited fully automatic weapons in the United States. The 1994 Assault Weapon Ban prohibited semi and fully automatic weapons and any weapon with military style characteristics. California Senator, Dianne Feinstein, is leading the charge in the American government to pass a bill that will limit the capacity of ammunition in a magazine and ban assault weapons that are too dangerous for public use. It is time for the American government to act swiftly and acknowledge the dangers assault rifles pose.
This reel is designed for off shore fishing. This real is much larger and is geared so you must crank the handle several times in order to get the spindle to make a complete rotation. A handy thing if you have to haul up a fish that is 50kg or more from the bottom of the ocean. This reel works by turning the spindle while the line feeder remains stationary. The drag works by pushing a plate into the spindle. There is a knob on the side that allows you to increase the pressure on the plate.
The controversy over assault rifles is one of the most problematic issues related to the contributions of gangs, drug traffickers, and most criminal activity. More often than not, criminals have access to the weapons of their choice more easily than it should be. Getting them from licensed dealers, black markets, and family members’ homes, the availability of these militia weapons has become to effortless to obtain. The rise of criminal activity is part of the reason more than one-third of high school students have easy access to a weapon or gun. “Four out of five guns brought to school are actually brought from their own homes” (Page par 2). This is one of the biggest problems when faced with where criminals get their guns. They either steal them from relative’s homes, ask to borrow them, or steal them from licensed sellers. There are a lot of ways people can get guns. People who should not be able to purchase a firearm are allowed to, and illegal transactions are also a huge issue with criminals getting their guns. For all these reasons that is why Government should require restricted gun ownership to protect society, prevent crime, and allow for recreational use.
First,I believe Fidget spinners should be banned because they are distracting. They also make people around them think that they can just sit around and distract people doing their work. After a good bit of time the teacher will stop class and probably
The idea of banning books are to protect our children from having their minds be poisoned of fictional ideas from fantasy books, safe from violence, protected from adult contents that are too early for them to know about.
El Salvador, 6 April 1992--Three siblings died near the Guazapa volcano last weekend when they stepped on a mine planted during the period of civil warfare. Ironically, their parents had returned to the area only a few days earlier. The children were four, six and eight years old. Parts from the three children's bodies were found as far as 30 metres from the explosion site. (qtd. in Grant 25)
Banning products don't eliminate the problem. although it may be a solution to the problem, it doesn’t always fix it. Drugs for example, the Government should let the people decide if they want to destroy themselves with knowing the consequences. Drugs in public is banned due to harming people who are around the consumer of the drug. People should have the freedom to do what they want to a certain extent without having to go against the banning of a product. Although not banning items may cause commotion in some ways, it is acceptable to see what the product does to the country because the product may do good for certain
Books should be banned because kids can pick up a book that has a nice sounding title and not read the summary. If the child likes the book, they might not tell their parents that it has bad language or morals. If the child doesn't know what the bad words are, they might say them at school and therefore get suspended or
Should whaling be banned? Commercial Whaling was banned back in 1986 by the International Whaling Commission (MadMermaids Scuba Ltd.). The reason it was banned back in 1986, was because in 1950, whales were consider threatened, then endangered in 1963. Some countries still continue to harpoon whales and it is currently aiming to hunt a total of 1,035 whales (MadMermaids Scuba Ltd.).
Growing up as a skateboarder, I always got the bad end of the stick. I was always viewed as a punk that couldn’t follow the rules. How come it was only the skateboarders getting looked down on the most out of everyone else in any other action sport? In America, I understand that skateboarding is not 100% accepted. But why are a lot of areas banned from skateboarding? Skateboarding should never be banned because it serves a purpose. As a part of the skateboard community, we (skateboarders) keep the youth and adults out of doing any illegal activities such as using drugs or condoning violence. In fact, skateboarding not only keeps my community safe, but keeps my friends who skate safe as well. To myself and all of the youth and adults in the world, skateboarding is not just a sport, but a lifestyle. Not only does it serve a beneficial purpose to my community, but it is my favorite way of transportation. Growing up, my parents couldn’t afford the gas to get around so banning skateboarding would have had a very negative impact on my social life.
The smart phones have affected our culture in many possible ways which leads to increase in personal efficiency and communication. Even though, smartphone can become a tool for constant connection with the world; the smartphone also makes people disconnect with the world around them such as friends and family. As Zackary suggests that “The invention and rising popularity of the smartphone has completely transformed our culture of socialization and interaction.”(2015) Smartphones are very powerful tools that can allow people to use many functions such as phone, text, internet, apps, games, and social media and so on. Smartphones are readily available and so easy to use that people are less willing to interact with another people more than their smartphone. Smartphone becomes a necessity for many people of their life because of their usefulness. We constantly see people who are using their smartphone more often, which a
