Robbie Adler The first song I chose is called “We don't believe what's on T.V.” and it’s by twenty one pilots. The song is a fast and energetic song. The song is says that Tyler Joseph songwriter he is asking God if he fails will you be there for me. The meaning of the song is basically if he fails he wants to know if God will be there to help him out through his hard times. The song fits my life because if you don't do good in school or if I'm having trouble I want to know if someone would help me with my rough times. One figurative language is what if my dreams don't happen and that says don't let your dreams die. Another figurative language is I use to want to die before I'm old but because of you I might think twice and that says that …show more content…
Then write something, yeah it might be worthless Then paint something then, it might be wordless Pointless curses, nonsense verses You'll see purpose start to surface No one else is dealing with your demons Meaning maybe defeating them Could be the beginning of your meaning, friend. Go away [4x] Leave me alone [7x] Nobody thinks what you think, no one Empathy might be on the brink of extinction They will play a game and say They know what you're going through And I tried to come up with an artistic way to say They don't know you, and neither do I So here's a prime example of a stand up guy Who hates what he believes and loves it at the same time Here's my brother and his head's screwed up But that's alright. Time gains momentum the moment when I'm living in 'em I'm winning a momentary sinning a moment passing after A re-beginning moments mending memories Pretending enemies are frenemies, sending me straight to bending me My bad behavior but I bet I could have been a better man Copy and paste caught me, and copy, better rhymes bother me The better the rhythm the badder I am but I bet I'll battle with 'em battle Better I am, Gambling man, better bet I am a gambling man, I am? Go away
I have chosen to do two songs waiting on a woman by Brad Presley witch the whole song makes a gender stereotype about woman always making a man wait. The second song I choose to do is George Straits A fathers Love which enforces it’s hard to be a father and what a good strong dad role model is. Both songs spoke to me in different ways.
Feeling unwanted from the closest people in your life who turn away from you when you need them the most, is the worst feeling a person can endure. I chose the song “My Story” by Sean McGee, because people young and old can relate to his song. People from different backgrounds can relate to each other when there are living homeless or raised as a foster child. Sean McGee wrote “my daddy don’t know, my momma don’t care, it don’t matter if I’m here, it don’t matter if I’m dead” people all around the world have the same issues and share a common culture. A master status is the most important status a person occupies, this is a key factor in determining a person’s social position.
My first song I´ve chosen is Sean McGee, song titled My Story. Mainly the song is about him facing different struggles, obstacles, and all the horrible things and situations he´s been in throughout his life. I can connect to this song and the lyrics for many reasons. One of his lines were ¨Do you know how it feels to be left out in the rain¨? And I have faced times like this when I feel like no one is there or have my back, and in the line he´s trying express how it feels to have nobody and be all alone. Also throughout this song he expresses how everyday you wake up your face with something rather it's just a minor issue or something that will greatly impact your life.

For my song, I chose Fifteen by Taylor Swift. This is a very touching song, it talks about freshman year of high school, finding your first love and then they use you and don't love you back. The overall mood of this song is remorse. The persona of Taylor is that of a new freshman. Taylor uses figurative language such as “your head spin around”, “gave everything she had”, “look before you fall”, “time can heal most anything”, “feeling like flying”, and “Feeling like there's nothing to figure out”. Taylor is comparing a first kiss to a spinning head, and flying to a first date. Her figurative language enhanced the song because it made you feel how the person felt. ** The overall message of Fifteen is “look before you leap”, or, in Taylor’s words,
While some of the songs may have a specific meaning, it is up to the listener to decide what they
The song in which I chose is “Zwischen Uns” by Eisbrecher, a German band. The Lyrics states and translates to “Mountains between us. I'll blow them all up. The stars between us. I'll set them down lower. The future between us. I'll make it safe for you. The drama between us. I'll find myself a new writer.” I chose this song because the study of psychology is one that to this day does not have a full explanation as to how the human brain functions to its full potential. For instance; take the fact that most people want to lose weight, but cannot achieve it because they are afraid to exercise or eat healthy, this can lead to creating obstacles such as mountains. In the other hand, overdoing diets can also lead to anorexia nervosa. Only a person
I chose Melissa by The Allman Brothers. “I wrote that song in 1967 in a place called the Evergreen Hotel in Pensacola, Florida,” Gregg, one of the brother’s in the band said in 2006 in an interview with San Luis Obispo Tribune “By that time I got so sick of playing other people’s material that I just sat down...wrote this song called ‘Melissa’”. The song itself was not actually released until after the death of Duane Allman a member of the band. Gregg Allman had reached a height in his career and wanted to make the studio album Eat A Peach a somewhat tribute to the band’s glory days. I thought this was ironic because of just what the song represents in my opinion. When I first listened to Melissa, honestly,
The reason I picked the bible I did was because this is my favorite bible verse and it encourages me to keep my faith strong in the lord everyday. I picked the quote about doing the impossible because for most people driving and the ground is their limit everyday. For pilots the limit is the skies and it is almost a privilege to have the right to be in the skies. I love the song The Motions by Matthew West because it gives me the inspiration to try my hardest everyday of my life because you want to make your life count. I choose the Flyer’s Poem because to me it summarizes the coming of aviation and Christianity in my life.
The song that I choose to do this assignment on is Fight the Power by Public Enemy. Fight the Power was written in 1989 and quickly became a street anthem for millions of youths. It reflects with issues dealing with both the Civil Rights Movement and to remind everyone that they too have Constitutional Rights. This particular song is about empowerment but also fighting the abuse of power that is given to the law enforcement agencies. It gave citizens of the U.S a more modern outlook on the many struggles that not only the African American community is up against but the other minority groups as well. The song’s message was eventually supposed to bring people together and make the world a better place, even though some teens saw it as a way
Ever wonder why there were so many modern songs about bullying and love but none about our environment? Well, no worries, because here comes “Radioactive,” by Imagine Dragons. I chose this song because it’s about how the environment is polluted. This analysis explains the meaning and the message of the song.
“Buy it, use it, break it, fix it, / Trash it, change it, mail – upgrade it” (Pentatonix 1.1-2). sung by the up and coming acapella group Pentatonix. The first verse of their most known song makes you feel like robots are sing the song base on how almost robotic sounding the vocals are plus with all the vocals and the sound effects in the background. Pentatonix is a five-member acapella group: Scott, Mitch, Kristie, Avi and Kevin. They are known for covertly Daft Punk’s songs and medley into acapella arrangements. The group was publicly notarized when they completed and won on the third season of The Sing Off. Scott, Mitch, Kristie, and Avi do the vocals and Kevin does the vocal percussion or beat-boxing. Pentatonix’s acapella and beat-boxing adds meaning to Daft Punk’s medley when the group combines different verses to make one acapella arrangement. In
