Rio 2, is an American 3D animated musical adventure comedy film for all ages produced by Blue Sky Studio and directed by Carlos Saldanha. Rio 2 is the follow-up to the 2011 animated film Rio, and it is the studio's first movie to have a sequel. The title refers to the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, where the first film was set and where Rio 2 begins, this time the film was in 3D to give it a life like illusion and to give the images more depth so the viewer feels more involved in the scene, which was pretty cool. The plot for Rio 2 was very predictable with it being a sequel, Rio was a box office hit so how could they top that? They made it more colorful and more busy which made it exhausting for viewers my age, but it was great for the youth audience which is the target audience the producers where trying to reach. Rio 2 is a comedy adventure about facing your fears. Blu is a Macaw bird who never learned how to fly, living a happy life with his owner and best friend Linda in the little town of Moose Lake, Minnesota. Blu and Linda think he's the last of his...

Why The Essay Pass/Fail Fails Itself The essay “Pass/Fail” by Ron Srigley has valid points and claims within the essay, however, the use of hasty generalization, and appeal to emotion heavily undermine the valid claims of the essay. The claim that universities need to stop treating themselves as businesses and start acting like academic organizations, to better both themselves and students. However, the hasty generalization with the topic of technology and the appeal to emotion undermine the essay’s valid points by making the essay more about the way the author is being ‘attacked’.
The main characters in the film include Sebastian and Costa, who happen to be lifelong friends. Sebastian is a compulsive visionary who strives to direct controversial a film about one of history’s most influential figures, Christopher Columbus. He is determined to escalate the “myth” that western civilization's arrival in the Americas was a force for good. Instead, his story is about what Columbus set in motion; the hunt for gold, captivity of, and penal violence to those Indians who fought back. His story is counteracted by the radical priests Bartolome de las Casas and Antonio de Montesinos, the first people to ra...

Toughness has become, or perhaps has always been, an American ideal. We want tough politicians, tough punishments, and tough citizens. Which is why it’s no surprise that an advertisement for American Football would want to be seen as “The tougher football.” In 2009 the Dusseldorf Panther’s released a billboard ad for their American football team that read “American Football. The Tougher Football” (Outdoor Advertisement). These words take up the bottom third of the photo with the second, smaller line reading “www.dusseldorfpanther.de” there’s then a break in between text where the panther’s logo is located followed by, “Getting Tougher Since 1978.” The image behind the words is that of a black man flexing his bicep. His bicep is shaped like

The Olympic Games are an international sports competition. In the Olympics, athletes play in many types of games. Some athletes compete in the Summer Olympics. Some compete in the Summer Olympics. The Olympic Games are very old and have a very interesting history.
The Olympics are supposed to be a time of peace and a time where countries could come together and be free from politics. The Olympics are also a time where nations should put away their differences and celebrate the reason why they came to participate in the games, which was to play sports. Throughout history, many of the Olympics have lived up to this expectation. At the same time, there have also been some Olympics that have not lived up to this expectation because they have been experienced boycotts, political protests, and even violence. The politics in the Olympics need to be kept out because it there is no place for it. The 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow is an example of one Olympics that was not free from politics because of the boycott started by the U.S.
The Race Beat, written by Gene Roberts and Hank Klibanoff is the story of how Americans reacted to its race problem, and how a country who expected nothing more than for a united nation after World War II came into the knowing of the inequalities of racial segregation in the South. The subversion of the stereotypical passive role of women on the road is also seen in the Brazilian 1998 road movie ‘’Central Do Brasil’’, directed by Walter Salles. The road movie displays the leading female character as an active player in shaping and forming the story line. The opening scene of the movie shows us people pouring in and out of trains and bustling around the train station of Rio de Janeiro from every segment of society (Brandellero 2013, 152). On the faces of these people one reads fear, uncertainty, haste and hopelessness and in this setting, Dora, a retired school teacher, supplements her income by writing letters to be posted for illiterate people to their loved ones. We are introduced to various characters who are desperate to share their
