The last words of the song resonate and echo through the auditorium. There are few beats of silence before the crowd starts to applaud. It sounds like thunder moving through the crowd as the girl on stage takes a bow and heads off, smiling as she goes. The spotlight shines on her as she walks away. I stay sitting in my seat, amazed by the song I just heard my sister sing. My older sister, Riley, is 16 years old. She lives with my and our parents in Marshall, MI, in the bedroom just across the hall from mine. She’s great at school, plays the french horn in her high school band, and loves hanging out with her friends. She inspires me because she works hard every day to become better at what she does, tries many things to reach her goals, and …show more content…
Even though she’s already good, she won’t stop until she gets better. She is always, always, always singing. I can hear her sing by herself in the shower at night through my bedroom walls, and in the car on the way to and from school. When she isn’t singing for practice, she’s singing because she loves to. She sings at school, too. Riley is in one of the choirs at her high school, and she has choir class every day. She also takes voice lessons outside of school so she can really excel. Riley is dedicated to singing, and it shows by how much work she does to get better. This is what inspires me the most about her. Not only does Riley work hard to become a better singer, she has a goal that she is always working …show more content…
For as long as I can remember, Riley has wanted to be an actress on broadway. This inspires me because she knows what she wants to do with her life, and not many kids her age do. I wish that I was as certain as she is on what she wants her life to be like, and how she is going to make it happen. Riley’s life is not complete unless she’s doing a play. She has been doing them since she was a little kid and she will be doing them for many years into the future. Doing plays now gives her a head start on the career she wants in the future. Riley has a plan to get where she wants to be, and that is inspiring. Most of the time, I don’t even have a plan for what i’m going to eat for breakfast. She has her life loosely mapped out, and that’s pretty amazing for a 16-year old. Riley will never stop until she reaches her goal. Riley inspires me because she is persistent and never stops trying. Sometimes it’s like she’s a marathon runner, still in the middle of the race. Giving up and walking would be so much easier, but she can’t if she want’s to win. She could skip doing a show once and awhile or only sing in one choir during the year, but she doesn’t because singing and theater is what she wants to do in her life, and she’ll need every second of practice that she can get. She never gives up. If she doesn’t get the part she wants, she keeps going. If she
For many of us, one of the most accurate and effective ways to express the feelings that really matter to us is through music. We don’t only grow to attached to songs that are catchy, but also those with lyrics that we can relate to. It is not uncommon to feel like sometimes, artists can convey the way we feel better than we could ourselves. The storybook-like lines you read at the start of this page are a collection of lyrics
The song Ella chose for her solo was complex for her playing level at the time, but that didn't stop her from trying. Ella achieved this accomplishment by practicing after school with her band instructor, at home, and during class when allowed.
Betty had a good start to her career. She preformed at country fairs and rodeos. Betty learned that her talent isn’t enough to make her successful, and there was always more work to be done. Betty’s natural talent made it easier for her to learn ballet from her instructor. She hadn’t learned the basics right and she became very frustrated because she had to go back to the beginning and learn those basics.
As the audience watches the film they can come to realize that sometimes people need to open their eyes to new ideas. They become aware that one person can make a difference in another person’s life. This film is about that, changing your life. Billy Elliot would not have ever thought to become a dancer, yet is willing to take the risk and he discovers that he loves it. The audience can connect to the main character because they understand that sometimes risks have to be taken. Mrs. Wilkinson shows that it is okay to change and do something different.
I’m reading pieces of why by K.L Going. The main character Tia is in a choir called the rainbow choir Tias whole life revolves around becoming a singer. That all changes when a shooting happens around her church and people start talking about her father's jail sentence. But having no memory of her dad and only knowing a little about her dad's sentence she starts to worry about other things than singing. When people start looking down on her she figures out what her father did. And her world falls apart she no longer has the will to sing and she has to figure out how to cope with her situation and figure out what to do.
The two reasons that make Shawn Mendes inspiring to me is the fact he writes his own lyrics. Also that he does not sing about money, fame or about being disrespectful to anyone. To be able to do all that and write your own lyrics and sound amazing, is no doubt inspiring. A different kind of inspiration is Bruno Mars, one of the most flashyist artist I know. Bruno Mars full name is Peter Gene Hernandes , Bruno has been singing professionally since 2004. In that same year he signed a record with one of the biggest record lable company’s ever, Atlantic Records. Then with Atlantic Records, he made to Billboards HOT 100. Since then he has sold over 100 albums and singles worldwide. Bruno Mars inspires me because he has been singing infront of thousands on thousands of people, and he makes it look almost effortless. As a singer, he gives me courage to sing in front of people. Demetria Devonne Lovato, otherwise known as Demi Lovato. Demi Lovato was born in Los Angeles, August 20th 1992. Demi Lovato in my opinion is one of best artist’s Ive’ ever heard, both male and female. Even though Demi is a celebrity and everybody loves her. She also was one of the new celebrities that has been through rough times as

To start off, Emily in the short story I Stand Here Ironing learns to grow from her hardships and struggles. Although she has had a rough life growing up she didn’t let that stop her from doing what she loved. Emily has a gift for comedy and performance so her mother encouraged her to participate in the school amateur show. Emily thought it was a good idea to try it out and she ended up winning first prize at the show. Everyone loved her performances and, “She began to be asked to perform at other high schools, even colleges, than at city and statewide fairs” (Olsen 6). Emily had a special talent and she didn’t let her troubles stop her from pursuing her passion.
... sung at the funeral of the Princess of Wales resounded worldwide in a shared sense of loss. In whatever style, music is the closest we come to expressing the inexpressible and often surpasses the limits that words cannot bridge and draws the participant closer to the spiritual sense of self-awareness as well as realising the intricacy and intimacy of shared experience and harmony with the other.
Dreams are something everyone should follow. She has dreamed of seeing the floating lanterns on her birthday for so long but there was always something in her way. She found the way around her the obstacle of her mother. I'm not saying running away is the best decision but the opportunity was placed in front of her and she jumped on it. When Flynn Rider showed up she had to make a decision on what she was going to do with the opportunity that she was given. Like
It’s the August Rush in New York City and when we stop to hear the music and apply it into our lives, then we are able to bless the lives of those that have that great talent to play such lovely music. Life can be so hard, but it is up to us to change. The opportunity is in our hands to press forward and overcome the trial that is right in front of us. New York City is a place of music and opportunities. I know that happy endings do happen and can happen for
By the twelfth song which was the last I could still feel the atmosphere, the pride and the gratitude of the people. We were just happy to be in their presence. For the last song the whole crowd moved together in a bizarre, alternative. dance. I am a sassy girl.
...ng’s at my mother home, time has change, we are getting older. We are all adults, no matter how we feel, life hands you lemons, sometimes you have to make lemonade, as my glass of lemonade fills up, I’m coming to the next step in life, as family keeps striving, I understand that striving, being attentive in my studies is all I can do to better my knowledge, open my eyes to what’s really going on, not to what I think is going on.
The song called “brave” by Sara Bareilles as continually prospered. The song was written in 2013 and its views continue to rise. Sara Bareilles is not incorporated with any group, movement or ideology. Her song, on the other hand, is associated with a group of people who are brave or strive to be brave and the ideology behind it is that it’s great to be brave and courageous. The song brave is about speaking your mind. Way too often we the people hold things in that the world would appreciate because we are self-conscious or afraid of what people will think about us. This is a song written for all generations of people because at one time or another in our lives, everyone has been there and needed to be brave or needed someone in their life that’s brave. Being able to feel relaxed saying what you want to say instead of beating around the bush is also something that unfortunately most people will never experience. The song was inspired by Sara’s friend who struggled with coming out with being that he or she was gay and not straight. The song is also about anything else someone could be spooked and who does not have the guts to tell another person or the world. The tempo and awe-inspiring lyrics command us all to pursue to be heard. Everyone is unique and has something to lend to others, it does take bravery to "let the words fall out" but when we do, only then are we truly free. This song is the anthem for living free in mind, body &
As I lift my head up and open my mouth, my voice escalates with every tune that comes out. The soothing words bounce off of my tongue and release the tension held within. Even if the sounds aren’t perfect or correct, every little bit helps me get through the day. When stressed, nothing helps me more than singing. My passion for singing comes from deep within my soul, mind and heart. When I sing, I sing with all of me, putting everything I can into it. I have always had a great passion for singing, ever since I was young. Although I am shy and still get nervous and shaky in front of others, in my own time, singing is my cigarette, my alcoholic drink, my escape from all the anger and the pain.
