I did not participate in the snap challenge because I am on the university’s meal plan. However, I still participated in the snap challenge process and afterwards I came to the following conclusions. The grocery list was very challenging; I decided to shop for my food online instead of going to the grocery store. My first resource was Walmart, but they did not have the prices for many foods. It was then that I started to realize my monies were depleting quickly. Throughout this assignment I realized that dollars add up and purchasing the store brand items are not always the cheaper way. I thought about which grocery stores provide the pickup option and I chose Lowes Foods. When I finished my list I realized that I forgot to calculate tax, as
a role like it and I was equally keen to play the Narrator as I had
... Buddy the Elf brings them into his fantasy world as a real elf. In the book, we were able to see how people acted in real life situations during the holidays and how Sedaris used those situations to create his jokes. I felt more compassion or pity for Sedaris then for Buddy based on the reality factor. I would not want to work as an elf based on Sedaris’ experiences described in his writings and it is very difficult to try to relate to Buddy as the entire movie would never realistically happen. Both are humorous but as I described, both took different approaches of the same type of situation.
His best friend and old business partner Jacob Marley died and he comes back as a ghost to tell him to be nicer to people "I am here to-night to warn you, that you have yet a chance. " hope of escaping my fate. A chance and hope of procuring. Ebenezer", there are more people who he interacts with and they are. his nephew "A merry Christmas to you uncle" and his clerk ".
I believe I have many skills and talents that I can contribute to N.H.S. I’m level-headed and cool under pressure so in times of havoc, I’ll be there to calm people down and not go crazy. Also I’m a team player which is very important. Some people like to do things solo, but N.H.S is an organization where you have to work together to help accomplish the goals. Also I’m very hard working and dedicated so I won’t give up. There are people who give up when an obstacle they can’t pass comes their way, however I’ll keep trying until I beat it. Personally I’m good at problem solving, innovative, and versatile. If I know what to do then I'll get the job

After hundreds of years, it can be agreed upon that the story of Santa Claus could use a few tweaks and changes to progress with society. Clearly, the new generation is all about pizzazz, so the simple story is no longer up to standard. However, no matter how much the outer layer of Santa may change, from weight to tattoos, his morals and values should remain, as they exist to bring hope and joy in a time meant for happiness.
During world war II, there was a brief controversy about woman playing the role when a large share of the nation’s men were at war. So Women were hired to play the role of santa. Parents were getting very upset. I believe that they were getting upset because they didn't want kid to stop believing. That would ruin their holiday. that is my last reason why I think that santa can’t be played by a woman.
The reason why I say no to santa being a woman is because it has been a tradition that has been held for 100’s of years since the third century. If I ever saw
Whenever I was very young, I guess you could say that I was also very gullible. I believed most of what people told me was right. All of the holiday myths would miraculously be plausible, even if they couldn’t be. People, mainly adults, only gave me the abridged version of the truth. One of these myths I was sure was true up until about fourth grade is Santa Claus. I didn’t question why the logic of Santa was so askew. I’d write letters to Santa Claus, leave out cookies and milk and carrots, along with a sundry of other off-the-wall Christmas traditions. These included, sprinkling reindeer dust outside, and going to bed early so Santa wouldn’t skip our house. As a result of the withering beliefs in Santa across the globe, adults try to aggrandize the Santa Claus myth in attempt to make the ambiance of Christmas more special. In days of yore people have scrutinized all of the aspects of Santa Claus and some of the truths are appalling. Some very astute people have made this out-of-the box myth seem more real to children, but some of these truths must go unmasked.
In conclusion, Hurry Up Santa! The Musical is and overall amazing play with good plot, acting, and average design elements with the audience seeming attentive and interested throughout the performance. Although this production takes some risks using budget props, it’s still overshadowed by the skills of the performers, who managed to pull of an amazing and motivated
We are all influenced by our schema, which is an expected situation structure formed from cultural background and past experiences. We expect certain scenarios to have certain structures, but that may not always be the case. In the given scenario, I am an interpreter that is contacted by the interpreter referral service and I am asked to interpret a performance review for a Deaf man. The Deaf man works on the production floor of the Gillette Company and I have never met him before.
“Why,” you ask, “position yourself only to be disappointed upon realizing that all you hold as true is in fact false?” I will tell you that I grew up believing in Santa Claus—the jolly, old, fat man who annually descended the chimney with his endless sack of treasures. I will tell you that I still believe that Santa Claus exists, despite being told otherwise by both parent and peer. I will tell you not only that Santa Claus exists, but that he exists in you and your family and your friends and every person who gives a little extra in any way thinkable.
Christmas is a holiday celebrated by many nations and religions around the world. The spirit of Christmas causes people to come together. It is one of the most favorite times of the year involving gift giving and merry making. To celebrate Christmas people decorate their homes, churches, and other buildings in which fellowship may take place. They may do this with ribbon, holly, mistletoe, and decking them with silver and gold. But where did all these traditions originate? Now, many believe that Christmas is the celebration of Jesus's birth. The truth is that all of these customs from Christmas pre-date our Lord's birth entirely! Christmas today is just a collection of traditions put together to make the holiday we celebrate every year on December
Elves are small, supernatural, have pointy ears, have magical powers, and to many children are known as ”santa’s helpers.” Elves are a famous folklore originating mainly from Germany, Holland, Sweden, England, and Norway and their folk tale goes back as far as human beings can remember. In fact some people think it even went back to the beginning of time itself. However, others think that elves originated during the medieval times. Most cultures collectively thought that elves were a mysterious creatures, and even went as far as to see them as supernatural beings or gods.
